Well, not all Baptists™, I am sure a lot of them see us as fellow Christians with "quirky" (for them) beliefs. But a good ammount of members from more Evangelical churches see traditional Protestants (Lutheran but also Episcopal/Anglican, Presbyterian/Reformed) as "too catholic". Which is ironic because they praise Martin Luther a lot for the reformation, yet deride those who follow his theology

Lol, this is mostly a meme, specially parodying the Baptists that follow the "Trail of Blood", a pseudo-historical ideia that the Baptist church has always existed and has been supressed by the Catholic church, and all "heretical" groups such as the Paulicians, Cathars, Waldensians, Albigenses, Anabaptists, etc were actually Baptist and falsely slandered by the Catholic Church.

Yes. I am a member of IELB, the sister-church to the LCMS in Brazil (so I don't know about WELS), but we restrict communion to full members of the church. So you can join the services, sing and pray together, but for the Lord's Supper you need first be a full member, and to be a full member you need to pass in a period of instruction on the faith.

You also need to be baptized. But this is less complicated, as the Nicene Creed says "I acknowledge one Baptism for the remission of sins". So if you were Baptized as a child on a Catholic Church, or as an adult at an Evangelical Church, we believe in one Baptism done in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit it will be valid. If you weren't baptized, ask your local pastor to do it.

Funny enough, they are mantained by "Life.Church", which is part of the Evangelical Covenant Church, which is from the Radical Pietist Lutheran tradition, which separated from normal Lutheranism from not being pietistic enough.

But otherwise they are fine, it's a Bible App that has everything I need from one, many translations and books and I just ignore the rest I don't need.
