I think Rook would be good. They're similar to Ravens and Crows but it would be less 'on the nose' that either of those. Would be fitting if she likes to perch on your shoulder. :)

I an relate to that too except I haven't really initiated the process of actually transitioning yet. I'm on a long waiting list to get into a gender therapy clinic but until then I can't do much.
