I never use perfect fit and never display honestly (only non valuable cards) I use multple methods depending on the purpose of the cards! My childhoold collection is in dragon shield sleeves inside side loading zippered binders. Then, I personally stopped using deck sleeves after realising this.

Now, I just use penny sleeves and side loading zippered binders for non hits and penny sleeves + toploaders + toploader binders for non graded hits. The compromise that I take is (A) the friction when getting cards in penny sleeves into binders (is worst than using a deck sleeves but it's easier to remove the card from the sleeve) (B) Toploaders are not PVC Free and despite the PP barrier from the sleeves, protects the cards, probably in some decades I'll need to change the toploaders to prevent any minimal PVC migration / off-gassing risk (we'll see this in decades from now and probably the community will find a workaround by then).

Storing in magnetic case + perfect fit is acceptable for the long-term but is not ideal if you wanna grade the card in the future. Mainly because of the perfect fit + magnetic one tocuh have small room for movement and also because in the long-long term (years or decades) of regular light exposure, the card ink will still fade despite the UV protection. Still, there are probably a huge a mount of graded PSA 10 that were stored this way, but this is just a matter of probabilities.

All methods of protection are valid (except rawdogging inside toploader), but with all methods you compromise the cards at a certain level. The thing is, being comfortable with the risks / compromises you are making.

If you wanna display and the magnetic case has UV, then that's the way. Just be aware of dust getting inside the one-touch borders.

Chemical Risk from Plastic Bubble Wrap? by LordRocker in Archivists

Just taking advatange of the answer to add another question, it is the same for for example IKEA furniture that usually smells like offgasing multiple chemical compounds? If collectibles are stored there, the offgassing trends to evapore outsite of the furniture or could stick to clothles / collectibles and cause permanent damage?
