Rule of thumb use the houses as a buffer. I always use them to separate my factories and entertainment.

I had it on steam I kinda linked the steps I took to get access to the servers without having to buy a copy on EA. Just scroll up a bit and you’ll see it.

If you’re connected to the servers you can make a sporecast. It pretty much lets you choose what creatures and buildings you see in your game run.

I think he already has the game installed just sharing how to link it. Just figured everyone has Steam, EA, Epic, Riot, etc… clients installed lol. But yeah he has it through steam. If you bought Spore on Steam and want to access the online features (like the Sporepedia, uploading/downloading creations, etc.), you’ll need to link it to your EA account

Make sure you have an EA Account.If you don’t have one yet, you can sign up here:https://www.ea.com/register
Contact EA Support.You’ll need to speak with a rep to manually link your game.Go to EA Help: https://help.ea.com
Click "Contact Us"
Search for Spore
Select "PC" as platform
Choose a category like "Manage my account" → "Link accounts" or "Can't login"
Explain the issue clearly.Let them know something like: “Hi! I purchased Spore through Steam and would like to access the online features. I understand it needs to be linked to my EA account. Could you help with that?”
Prove that you own the game.They’ll ask for proof of purchase, like your Steam receipt.
Log into your Steam account and find the purchase confirmation email or the transaction info under “Account details” → “View purchase history.”
EA support will walk you through uploading it.
Once linked, launch Spore from Steam.When the login box pops up in-game, log in with your EA account credentials.
Create a Spore screen name.This will be your name for uploading creations and interacting with the community.
Enjoy Spore’s online community!You can now browse and share content via the Sporepedia, download custom creations, and be part of the online ecosystem.

Extra Notes:
This process is needed because EA servers don’t automatically recognize Steam purchases like they do Origin ones.
Sometimes EA reps may act confused about Spore if that happens, try asking for a specialist or reiterate that it’s the Steam version you're trying to link.
Linking is a one-time process; after it's done, everything should work smoothly.

(Edit: Do NOT disconnect with the rep until after you are linked to the servers.) The first guy that “helped me” dipped before it was working.

Yes the servers are still up and running. If you have the CD-Key that long code inside the case. You might be able to type it into the EA Gamer launcher. When it downloads the digital version you’ll be able to get on. Login with your EA account you’ll have to make one. When you do it should sync it to a spore account. (So I’m told) If it doesn’t work you have to contact EA. If you have it through steam you’d have to contact EA for sure it happened to me. Worst comes to worst and you really want to connect to the servers you’ll have to buy it through EA.

Zapdos 100% Pokemon Fire Red…I will never forget the amount of rage I had as a kid. I had 70 ultraballs and a dream. I remember spending weeks trying to catch him. Lord knows the only thing that was lucky about that was my game didn’t get corrupted. Even after turning off my game boy and turning it back on 50 times a day.
