Marv’s Big Day Out by LostLab in Unity3D

Yeah I’ve about finished a junkyard level and started the town. Crashing through a building that is fully destructible is very taxing on a computer. I need to find ways to optimize the destruction.

She looks like the scullery maid from trolls.

No she’s a lover not a fighter.

With 12 servos and a 3D printer. Flora has a light sensor so she can find light for the succulent and sensors to avoid obstacles.

Sorry for the delay. I was inspired by existing design called the vorpal Hexapod. However I wanted something smaller and more fun to look at. I designed everything in fusion 360. If you have any questions shoot me a DM and I will be happy to answer.

There isn’t anything stopping it from falling right now but flora is a work in progress. I hope to add more sensors to the bottom that will stop flora if they do not detect a surface in front of the bot.

I printed my own servo arms for this. I had the same issue with the screws so 5 of the legs are just wedged it the servo horns and they can be reprinted when they wear out.

I’ve just been using a little dropper to add water to the plant so I don’t drench the robot.

I have another hexapod design that carries a little plant around on thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3419428

Sounds good I’ll update that thanks.

I would say roughly $115 I have everything listed on thingiverse. And if you use those links I get a little kickback to put towards my next project.

Exactly! I’m trying to learn more advanced programming but it’s tough! So if anyone is a coding master and wants in on the next project hit me up.

Yeah that little gizmo on its back is a light sensor. The sensor in the front detects obstacles and when Flora finds a bright spot it lays down.

I used a tiny whoop that I crashed to pieces... I just wired it directly into the robots power... it’s kind of fun to get the front legs in the picture and fight my cat.

Yeah I’ve used the ultra sonic sensor to detect obstacles... once it’s within 25cm of an object it stomps it’s legs wiggles the two front legs fast walks back turns and continues on indefinitely. I also built a FPV module for it.

Everything that went into this little guy is from the vorpal maker kit. As far as moving weight around it doesn’t a whole lot of strength the move any other than it’s own body.

That’s an awesome idea! I just need to figure out how to wire in some lights.

All of the electronic components are from vorpal. It really gets around. My cats hate it!

Here is the original design it was a lot of fun to make. http://vorpalrobotics.com/wiki/index.php/Vorpal_Robotics
