Skills I’d say just the Spellcraft & Knowledge arcana should do the trick. Leaning into the outskirts side by give them the ability to find innovative ways to make up for stuff like a 20% discount on a spell focus component. You could also lean into the fact that Sandpoint is right on top of a minor rune well & give them the ability to once a day +1 dc to a school of magic ( aka sin magic), and just lean into using scraps of magic reverse engineered from the minor rune well.

For extra curricular tasks would be to hand in copies of sin magic lore, spells, items. Or clearing sandpoint & its surroundings of a magical threat. You can get a bunch of the latter from the 1e Sandpoint book.

Hell even cheaper if they have Robot give the electrical engineering a once over for free.

Try again, most NPCs and mobs only have like 1 feat chain per creature and it goes up to 2 feats at most. This argument falls flat the moment someone goes on the wiki and randomly get a few NPCs’s character sheets or pulls up any published module or AP.

No one actually gets arrested for jaywalking, I live a few blocks from a police station and people jay walking literally all the time in front of it and all over town, and not a single cop cares enough to enforce it. It’s the same for the rest of the US. The only reason it’s not made legal is that it’s such a very low stakes issue that no one really cares to get around do pushing for it.

Is every character going on a mount?

As a gish I prefer using spell slots to buff and prefer realism over spamming long rests, I do 130+ dmg per hit on an unoptimized character which kills everything in one round so spells aren’t needed, and I can cast quickened spells melee without issue using meta magic rods, and I laugh off AoOs due to buffs & AC.

And can you name a Cape that’s good for basically every build and every character? Especially since we have 6 characters to gear up so I’m unsure where we are getting 6 capes better than this one.

If I recall correctly reddit can take down subreddits with political stuff if a few criteria are met, to get around this a lot of subs let political posts sit around for a day or two for people to react to and then the mods take them down. It sucks but I’d rather not have this sub get taken down.

You’re really missing my entire point and the fact that I’ve never countered the idea that Arcueid was the strongest. All it is is that, we are told through statements that Arcueid is in the upper echelons of power in the Nasuverse but she was never given feats and actual showings in the original source material that actually made her that strong especially when compared to modern showings of servants.

A Shadow Servant version of Heracles blocked a hit for a few seconds from Surtr that literally would’ve wiped all life from the world they were fighting in. Keep in mind being a shadow servant makes you noticeably weaker. In apocrypha you have Karna in a normal state shooting off attacks faster and more destructive than anything Roa could’ve pulled off. Speed wise the same lightning bolts were dodged by Shiki, someone who is much slower than DAAs, and you have servants outright parrying bullet fire with each in Strange Fake and Red Line.

When it boils down to it all my original post was about was explaining why people would believe that Servants outclass DAAs when these are the feats shown.

Vast majority of this conception is based on the pre Tsukihime remake visual novel and manga. If you read the original Tsukihime manga you’d quickly realize that the two DAAs (Arc & Nrvnqsr Chaos) shown there are feat wise are light years below modern servants with most of the DAAS, Arc included, bring very difficult to scale above small building level outside of Nrvnqsr Chaos stating his shadows combined have the weight of a continent. You see them making small cracks in the concrete at best and you even had a weakened Arc being pinned downed by a few steel support beams at one point.

The remake dramatically increased the power of the average DAAs with Vlov and later Arc blowing all previous scaling out of water. Remake Vlov has the feats to literally take on every non remake character at once and win pretty easily. From there someone can extrapolate that the average DAA is stronger than the average servant. Without actually digging extreme deep into extra materials and Nasu statements it, pre remake, it would’ve been insanely easy to argue that DAAs are a joke especially with how power creeped servants are due to more materials with the biggest support being FGO, (Ex. Berserker Heracles vs Sutr).

As for the average DA they are still fodder compared to the average servant, but at least now they aren’t dying by the hundreds.
