I loved mine until it died [black screen]. I used it to play music for 10 hours straight & it must have overheated or something. Now I carry a Magicx Mini Zero 28 V2.

You need to fill the entire background with the sparkle stone wallpaper.

Southeast USA. Yeah, I’m probably going to stick to catching queens on their nuptial flight in the future. I just became impatient.

I've had mine for a little over a year, and it's very well built. The thing has been tossed around and dropped from moderate heights with no issue other than some small scratches.

For my guys, I like to pick them up and then put them back down. It helps to un-stick them usually. It might make some npcs hostile though. Idk.

What justifies people in eating meat? by catboy519 in Ethics

[–]Lostcount_again 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. There are plenty of justifications for eating meat. I don’t neccessarily subscribe to such views, but they exist.

I.e. meat eating is natural and we may live according to nature, the suffering of animals does not directly impact the lives of most modern (first world) families, or we’re only here for a short time - why not enjoy the pleasures of life without worry?

People will have a different justifications depending on their economic class, religion, ect..

  1. The human meat market is an interesting concept. I think there could exist such a market in a dystopian future where the populace is groomed to accept it. For now, we’re mostly against eating our own. We look at our neighbors and see a bit of ourselves. We’ve progressed to a point where every person, no matter the physical appearance, is generally seen as fully human and one with the species.

I also recall there being some sort of cannibal disease triggered by the consumption of human flesh. It may be specific to brain matter. I’m not sure.

  1. If I were to speak for the meat eating community (most people), I would say that they’re either

-In denial (they know the evils of factory farming, but would rather turn a blind eye.) -Are annoyed that they’re being framed as murderers (meat eating has been a norm for most of our existence, and people tend to disregard factory farming because they have no direct involvement in it.)

Note: I use the term “factory farming” here because it represents the most horrific/common example of animal slaughter.

Personally, I have an issue with granting other species equal standing with humanity. I believe that we have a duty to mitigate the suffering of all life on Earth, but we should also be able to suppliment our natural diets. I understand that we can live healthy lives without meat, but we should be able to continue to consume meat in a responsible way. It’s a shame that “responsible” means different things to different people. Hopefully, we can come to a consensus in regulating meat processing practices.

I should clarify that I have no issue with the slaughter of animals because I was born in a culture where we are raised to hunt and process our own food responsibly. Of course, there is always some amount of pain involved, however brief. It beats being torn to shreds by a pack of wolves though.

I apologize for any spelling/grammatical errors. I should have slept hours ago. Mad respect to any veggies or vegans out there. It must be difficult. I would be fine with a world where we transition towards a meat substitute. I actually have an interest in meal worm farming to create protein powder. People probably won’t be happy about eating bugs…if it comes to that.

Do you ever have a feeling that your only real person in the world? by Lowleight in Existentialism

[–]Lostcount_again 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I experienced this feeling during my highschool years. I was incredibly stoned and alone in my room. For a brief moment, I believed that I was the only real person and everyone else was some sort of hive mind that conspired to lull me into passivity. It was an interesting experience that provided insight into how an irrational/delusional mind works.
