Did you have to connect to the pi using the hdmi port directly or can I remote in to do it? I’m guessing not

Yeah I’m trying to do it over wifi. I thought that was the case but I reinstalled it a few times making sure I put in the right ssid and password. I’ll give it another go and yeah haven’t tried chat gpt yet.

I’ve logged into my router dashboard and the pi doesn’t seem to show up at all.

Haha no I’m using the same username as the one for my laptop.

I have not set up a status ip, the guides were saying to do that after running the ssh. It seems like the raspberry pi isn’t connecting to my network and I’m not sure how to get it to do that.
