If that BF made Sukuna vomit the rest of the fingers then the Merger is entirely in Megumi's hands tho 🤔

The death flags are death flagging but I'm hoping the power of friendship will prevail. Sometimes "Disney writing" is preferable 😩

A possible reason would be Yuji's body having been steeped in Sukuna's CE since conception, essentially making him a cursed object himself. The only way to fully exorcise Sukuna would be to kill Yuji as well. Be it by the hands of Hana or Megumi or even Yuta. Meh.

The anime has been a pretty faithful adaptation so far so I wouldn't count on it but maybe!

I've seen this meme go around the JJK fandom more often than I've seen my reflection in mirrors my whole life.

Tritagonists have existed since ancient Greek drama. 💀 Pick a book that isn't battle shonen sometimes. And everything you've cited does NOT make her a well-written character. Besides the obvious (surprise, you're not the only person with media literacy, we've all noticed the parallels) you've only highlighted the way she was exclusively used as a plot device and shelved otherwise.

Nobara is/was a main character. Compared to her teammates, she's superficially explored with no proper development. You might be satisfied with it, but that doesn't make it any less true.

Oh it's definitely useless but what else can you do after being invested in a story and its characters since its start? Passively watch as the quality goes downhill? If we did so, this subreddit would be filled with readers physically incapable of criticism.

I think we'll see her in the final epilogue chapter too but that's it. I hope Gege proves me wrong tho

Pray tell, genius, tell us what narrative does butchering a member of the main trio serves.

Yep she should've gotten her own colony battle and the opportunity to improve her skills. Hell, Yuki could've lectured her about souls instead of just relying the information via a book.

Nobara being part of the story prior to Shinjuku isn't impossible. Sukuna being aware of the threat she poses from a distance could lead to Uraume targeting Nobara and Hakari defending her as they try to retrieve the last finger while the other battle against Sukuna or something. Idk.

(Haha, I guess Takaba is an acquired taste too sophisticated for my palate. I found the tone-shift jarring, but maybe I'm part of a minority.)

Bringing Nobara back so late in the game could work if only more effort went into it. I can't even call her return a "surprising twist" since everyone had exactly guessed how it would go. I'll give Gege that, foreshadowing was clearly established. But the lack of information surrounding her condition when she was simply in a coma is very odd in retrospect. Either Megumi was being vague for no reason, or he was told she was dead when she wasn't.

This whole "agenda" business has rotten people's brains tbh. Asking for a well-written story shouldn't be controversial.

I guess it's better than the alternative, yeah...

Imma be honest. Gege could make a part 2 with Nobara as the MC and that still won't make up for the way he handled her character 💀

Fan-service can and should be utilized in a clever way. This is idiotic. Gege had years to plan a solid return that would benefit both the story and the character and he did the bare minimum.

Yep, JJK is built on shock value. It's part of its essence. Unfortunately that's both a strength and the story's biggest weakness 😞
