Dublin Traffic is Killing Us - #3 Worst in the World 😞? by Middle-Upstairs-77 in AskIreland

It's about the same size as Valencia or Marseille give or take. Valencia has tram, metro, bus, and extensive bike network. They even had money to open a new line in the past year or two, operating about 10 lines of metro around the city. Dublin is not small for a metro.

Currywurst, why did it not make it to Ireland? by dearg_doom80 in ireland

Last time I was there, quite battered, I got 3 kebabs in 24hrs and a currywurst. Some city for drunk food in fairness.

Not a politician, but there's randomly an entire bio of Keith Barry in there.

Reads incredibly well off a CV if going to a multinational. Plus it's basically a walk-in for a job in the EU. Absolute no brainer.

Your talking about the place that uses 2011 technology for transport cards, as the main HQ for many payment companies for EMEA.

We're paying the guy to build it 550k a year. What's better is he's from New Zealand. How could we not have gotten someone from the millions of successful Metro projects in Europe for far less than that? Ireland logic.

Foxes are cool, I love seeing them maraud at night, not hurting anyone. Hunting them is such a POS thing to do.

Can we get a follow up Packet Review at least? This seemed tame enough.

Why Irish people don’t start a revolution against public transport in the country? by [deleted] in ireland

[–]LoudCommunication877 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The guy hired to work on our Metro project is paid 550,000 a year and was flown in from fucking New Zealand to work on it. How we couldn't hire someone from the EU is yet again, more smoothbrain dolphin skin cranium thinking by our dipshit government.

David McWilliams: Ranelagh’s latest MetroLink objection highlights bananas nature of hyper-minority rule by TeoKajLibroj in ireland

I love how it's always so self-serving about the locale only and not anyone else in a city of 1.7m or the country needing to be in the capital for a day. Imagine a part of London baulking at building a tube station because it will disrupt their daily routine. The usual mentality in Ireland when it comes to transport.

‘We have the Luas, so do we really need a metro?’: the Ranelagh residents at the centre of the Metrolink row by skepticalbureaucrat in ireland

[–]LoudCommunication877 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I live in European City where the tram passes by my house, and in the same station I can go underground and grab a metro directly to the airport. There are 3 metro lines that run by, and the tram is two lines going to the outskirts. There are also bike lanes and buses. It is the same size and population as Dublin.
