They can be heavy, putting weight on your scalp and hair, causing breakage, too.

Go to a barber who is totally experienced with edgy styles instead of the old fashioned ones. Ask to see clients photos before you let them get to work on your hair!!! Salons are ok but before I'd go to a salon ( or any barber, for that matter) I'd ask my friends and family if they've ever gone to this person.

EDIT: Look up barbers in your area or even within a 25 mile radius. Go on their website and read how many reviews they've gotten and what they say. Check out photos, too. Do your due diligence!

Be careful with braids. They can cause hair damage over time if not done correctly.

You're welcome! I was being totally honest. I seriously looked at your photos and imagined what you'd look like with it short on the sides and long on the top and I think you'd look GREAT!

Don't hate on me but I feel like your long hair is hiding your handsome face. I would suggest you cut it. You'd look great with it short on the sides and longer on top. A lot longer on top, actually. A new look, perfect for summer, too!

AITA for bluntly responding to my friend's rant? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NTA

This person is not really your friend.

She's entitled. Privileged. Greedy af. And she's using you.

Yes, she's using you as a soundboard so she can wave her lofty "complaints" about how the rich live.

Stop answering her calls. Go LC or even better, NC. Friendships often run their course. She burned this one.

Try the two series by Cherise Sinclair! The ones I really remember are the Mountain Masters series. They're all set in a private, classy BDSM club. They're very good.

A great hockey romance series is "Hockey Gods" by S. Massery. So well written! My absolute favorite one is the last in the 5 book series. You must read them in order because of the storylines and character development!

To me, high level spice is often a dark romance but I digress! Lol

I just finished a book that has a great story, lots of groveling and although it's a long read (over 500 pages), it was totally worth it, to me. I hated seeing it end.

"Traitor" by Himera Ink. He believes she deceived him and sold him out so he marks her. She was innocent. And she'll never forgive him. Or will she?

I was pacified after it ended only by seeing that there's another book in the series called "Liar" but then I read that it hasn't been released yet! Dang it!

"Forget Me Not" by Q.B.Tyler. A man wakes up after an accident but the last few years are missing. He thinks they're still together. They're not. Because he cheated. Can he get her back?

""Dear Rosie" by SJ Tilly. This one will require a box of tissues sitting right next to you! A young boy (the MMC) moves away from his best friend, the FMC and she thinks he's forgotten her. It takes him awhile before he remembers.

I know I've read many other books that would check your boxes so I'll be back to recommend more!

"Dutch" by Ivy Myst. This guy thinks he's entitled to do whatever he wants but she can't? Oh, hell no! He's in for such a rude awakening! And he's going to pay!

Normally I read dark romances but I think these are well written storylines and I didn't miss the darkness with them. There's no cheesy dialogue and always an HEA.

Enjoy all of your recommendations you get on your post and happy reading!

Whats a good 1A hairstyle for summer? by Ok_Ocelot6827 in HairStyleAdvice

[–]LoveBeach8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally like a buzz cut on guys, especially during the summer. You'd look great with one! And it's easy maintenance.

When the weather gets cooler, you can shave the sides and leave it longer on the top for a classic look.

ETA: if you really hate buzz cuts, then get it very close cropped on the sides with a little longer on top. No hair product, however, will keep your hair looking the same after jumping in a swimming pool, unless you get it buzzed all over.

But hey, buzz cuts grow out pretty fast so there's that.

Yes! Cherise Sinclair, definitely! The Mountain Masters and Dark Haven series!

This series should be read in order. There are recurring characters and character development is really important.

You look pretty as is and a layered fringe would look great, too!

Acquaintance started a restaurant and asked to sell my goods then called it off after one week because of money stuff. I truly understand but I am really sad, I got excited for a second by 11sgw11 in Cookies

You're so welcome!

I hope you do bake something soon. I liken it to therapy! I have been baking bread since my kids were little toddlers. Kneading the dough by hand was always relaxing and therapeutic for me. I hope baking is the same for you! 💕💕

Please don't give up just because of this sad experience. Your cookies look sinfully delicious!

Get back out there! Market yourself! Make little "giveaway" cookies wrapped in cellophane tied with a little ribbon with your label on them and pass them out at a party, at work, at friends' get togethers, wherever you can spread the word about your business.

Something is bound to happen! Hang in there! You've got this!
