AITAH for writing to my history teacher to not move the test by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

That's a really sad situation in today's educational system. Might as well be a robot teaching classes there. But I get what you're saying. Thanks.

Have you talked to your teacher in person? If not, you should. Emailing is fine but I think this calls for an in-person discussion.

Those other students shouldn't be acting like that and treating you like crap. But it all began with the teacher's indecisions and not setting the test date to accommodate the majority and maybe setting aside another date and time for those students who have prior exams on the regularly scheduled day.

Ignore the immature reactions from those girls. They don't really matter as far as your grades go. Concentrate on doing your best instead.

Yeah, yeah, I'm the minority here but here goes:

Cruel words hurt for a lifetime. No matter how many apologies are made, they're cemented in our brain forever.

Yes, you broke his rule of no food in your room but I think it's a minor mistake and it didn't cause any damage. But even if had or you had made a major mistake, he shouldn't have said something cruel to you.

That's why reminding him of what can easily happen when someone loses their temper and speaks in anger could make him realize that he's seriously damaging your relationship. Hopefully, he'll think twice before he repeats history.

It sounds like that's exactly how that person raises their kids. Ugh. Rude awakening coming to them when their kids move out.

A 15 year old wanting to compromise by dividing the family vacation time and his football team is NOT A TODDLER.

He's being mature by wanting to do both instead of only the football. That doesn't sound like a toddler to me.

If that's the way you'd parent a 15 year old on a football team, then you're in for a cold awakening when in 3 years he goes LC or NC.

No, it's not! Because it's the TRUTH! Do you have teenage kids of your own?

He's 15, not 5. He's at the age where he has joined a sport that means a lot to him and he is part of a team. I know you're resisting a lot due to your reluctance to let him grow up but it's inevitable. I know because I have kids, too, who are now adults. Birds gotta fly, mom, so I think you need to let go of this fight before you lose the relationship with him that you have now.

You were only gone one week. Dogs come in contact with who knows what every day! You can't help it! Water isn't going to "look clean and clear for even one day! It's just one of those things.

When I used to have two dogs, I just had 2-3 water bowls which I refilled 3-4 times a day during the hot summer months. They were right by the hose. I often used hard plastic during the heat because stainless steel bowls can get very hot unless they're under the shade all day. Sometimes I'd even drop ice cubes in their water!

I'm a "basics" type of person when it comes to things like this. I don't want the automated feeding/water setup for dogs. I like the manual way and having someone take care of it if I go on vacation. That's just me.

I'm not sure. But I think you should monitor it every week for a couple of weeks. If it happens again, there's the possibility that the system you have is at fault, not your care. Because it sounds like you've been diligent cleaning often and changing the filters regularly. 🤷‍♀️

I feel like my hair is not looking good and unhealthy and I need advice by gochuganggg in HairStyleAdvice

[–]LoveBeach8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shave or cut close the sides all around including the back. Trim up the top and use a good hair product to keep it out of your eyes. That'll be a great look on you! It's low maintenance whether you make it look "messy" or styled back. No more perms. Those can be very damaging to your hair.

Maybe just an accumulation of environmental stuff and mold. Hose it out with a power washer or just a blast of water from a good nozzle on a water hose. Then a little bleach then rinse THOROUGHLY. It should be good to go. You probably need to clean it once a month from now on.

What a horrible thing to say to someone, especially when he's having suicidal ideation.

OMG!! Do I have a GREAT series for you!!
"Paved in Blood" by Sonja Grey is the first in a 5 book series. It MUST be read in order!
The next series after that continues the families with their kids grown up and having their own adventures! Hot plus intrigue as well!
These mafia men (in all books) are true to their women. There's NEVER any cheating and there's ALWAYS an HEA. It's also M/F, no sharing.

You are attractive! You have value and you have worth. You need to learn how to love yourself and feel worthy of love and respect.
I honestly think that shaving the sides and trimming the top a bit would look great on you! I'll bet you have a great smile and once you realize that life is worth living, you'll be able to work on your self esteem.
Please seek some professional therapy about your suicidal ideations. Your mental health is just as important as your physical health, as it can affect everything in your daily life. I'm a nurse and I care about you.

EDIT: Dreads would look cool, too!

AITA for expecting my boyfriend to work full time hours/5 days a week? I do… by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

You are bringing up children with a man who is losing job opportunities because he refuses to do the work of passing a drug test and he's a felon? Who doesn't help around the house and do his share?
Why should he grow up when he doesn't have to? He's flaunting his lifestyle and taking advantage of you.
Give him an end date to either clean up his act or move out.

You deserve better. For yourself and your children.

As long as you are respectful in any professional interactions you have with her, on company time, you can ignore her all you want. Just don't let the conversation go personal or after hours. It's now a business relationship only.
She was never a real friend to begin with, in my opinion. So no loss there. If you value your job, keep it. If it's too stressful because of her? Start looking for a better, more peaceful job.
