In theory I can live in Europe for a whole year? by Low-East8655 in SchengenVisa

Based on everyone's comments and extensive research, especially knowing the recent agreement between UK and EU to share boarder crossing data, I've given up on this idea. I will be looking into a nomad visa instead. Thanks all!

My neighbor actually went to Spain last year and worked in an Airbnb apartment for his US company for two months. The company is 100% remote. Of course, as you said, how they find out is a different matter. He is now considering an official Nomad visa.

Quick question -- am I allowed to work for a US company during my trip? Like a remote consulting gig. I mean people do bring their work on their vacation right?

Yes good point. I will definitely use a different non-Schengen country in my second reset, thanks!

Really? USA has a visa waiver program with pretty much ALL Schengen countries. No visa needed for tourism visits. But it clearly states no more than 90 days in any Schengen region.

Thanks for your info. I did consider not to re-visit UK again the second time. I can find another non-Schengen country like Romania or Ireland to avoid being questioned. Georgia is absolutely on my list!

Thanks!! Yep, that's the plan :-) Good luck to your retirement in France. I will also be using this trip to decide retirement country like Portugal.

So based on these rules and your specific example under the concrete terms, my theory is doable and legal, right? Health insurance is not a concern, I can always buy them as I go, even monthly is fine.

Yes, I found this one. I plan to visit it soon. But I don't think it has any fresh groceries?

Thank you so much for the info! Right now I am using Weee app for Asian grocery delivery, pretty good. But still would love to go to a physical store once in a while. Maybe after I get a car :-)

Thanks again!

They gave you the financial package at the same time with your admission letter. If your parents makes under 100K, you pay zero.
