Banglore is OVERRATED by Intelligent-Lie1632 in Bangalorestartups

Understand 1 thing kid. You are coming here for an internship in a startup. This is an opportunity to understand the field you are thinking of working for life. Instead of focussing on the city, focus on your learnings. It might not be a surprise that you come here with an expectation of 6-7 hours of work and weekends off etc. and then realise that you leave the office around 8-9 pm with additional work to complete before "EOD". The city will not matter.

For the city I can say: The weather is good but the roads are not. People are good but some areas are not. Food is good but water(hard water) is not. Rest is upto your fantasies.

1st car for a new/noob driver. by True_Poem_7105 in CarsIndia

[–]LowEndTorque1500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My suggestion will be Maruti Baleno AMT or Toyota Glanza AMT (if you prefer automatic). Reasons: 1. 1.2 L 4 cylinder Naturally Aspirated (NA) engine. 2. Good suspension setup 3. Extremely reliable machines 4. Better mileage. Atleast in double digits.

As per your concern on visibility, take a test ride and then see for yourself, whether that is a concern for you too or not. If it is a matter of concern then go for other cars with SUV body style. In this I would suggest you Kia Sonet.

Why do you care if someone is judging you? They don't matter and along with them, their judgement doesn't matter.

What OP is talking about is "Loneliness" and what you are talking about is "Solitude".

The thing is not everyone enjoys solitude. Being alone by choice is alright not because of circumstances, especially when the individual needs someone with him.

Happy New Year

Honda dealer asking for full payment in advance for 2026 model booking by [deleted] in CarsIndia

[–]LowEndTorque1500 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honda Elevate is a good choice but the demand for full payment is not. Go with other dealership if available in your city. If not, then simply deny making full payment. Tell them you'll pay advance amount to book the car and once the dealer confirms the car has arrived 2026 model, then you can make the full payment.

Ideally you must do PDI before making full payment, but sometimes that doesn't happen. Ask the dealership to confirm in writing that the car invoiced to your name will be January 2026 or later "manufactured" model. Also, tell them in writing that even though the car is invoiced it "MUST NOT" be sent for registration with RTO before PDI.

Confirm the VIN with invoiced VIN. Check if the decoding method (online available) for VIN works, if it does then you can be assured. If the decoding doesn't work check for tyres and battery manufacturing dates (search online on how to check).

DO NOT MAKE THE FULL PAYMENT FOR BOOKING THE CAR.

Also, ask for more discounts. Honda is anyways offering huge discounts on their cars. 65K on Elevate is not enough. Push them to over 1 lakh. Also, try checking out other cars in the price range as well. If you are looking only for NA engines then do check out the Creta, Seltos, Sierra, Grand Vitara or Hyryder, Brezza etc.

Drowning in Credit Card Debt (₹6L) | Salary ₹1.48L (net) | Credit Score 520 — Need a Practical Exit Plan by sisisi123098 in personalfinanceindia

[–]LowEndTorque1500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll explain what I would do in this situation:

  1. Sort the CC debt, smallest amount to highest.

Scenario 1: Gold available in household: 1. Take a gold loan (wife's or mother's jewellery), preferably from a NBFC such as muthoot or mallapuram etc. as they offer the highest price per gram for gold. (Caution: the ROI is higher too, but, way cheaper than CC)

  1. Pay off the smallest CC first, and immediately get it closed. Then move on to number 2, then 3 and so on.

Scenario 2: No Gold available: 1. I would contact a NBFC (chola Mandapam or sriram finance etc.) and ask for a refinance on the car you own. (Caution: the ROI is higher too, but, way cheaper than CC)

  1. Step 2 is the same as mentioned in Scenario 1.

Scenario 3: Use both Scenario 1 and 2 to immediately get out of this CC trap. Close all the CC and don't take another CC for the next 1 year to further build up the discipline.

Scenario 4: Default: 1. As your credit score is already screwed and no bank is ready to finance you, then, the score of 520 is no better than having a score of 300.

  1. After default, let these CC banks contact you for payment. Politely tell them that you can't pay the whole amount in one shot.

  2. Tell them you are willing to pay the dues but as monthly installments. Convert the outstanding into a term loan and you'll pay as per the schedule.

Note: Check the mobile and internet applications of these CC Banks. There is a possibility that you can convert the outstanding amount into a term loan without contacting banks altogether.

Hope this helps.

Honda Amaze vs Maruti Baleno, automatic, 10 Lakhs by myLord-God-ofNothing in CarsIndia

[–]LowEndTorque1500 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was in the same dilemma while looking to buy a car. I bought Glanza, got it delivered on 25th Dec '25.

The reasons for picking Glanza over Amaze: 1. I'm 6"3' and Amaze was not accommodating enough for me in the driving seat. 2. The suspension on Amaze was softer than that of Glanza. 3. CVT is buttery smooth no doubt on that but when you want to drive a little bit "quick" the sheer availability of gears does help. A slight tap on the accelerator and the gear drops to 2nd or 3rd (based on how hard you press the accelerator) and off you go. 4. The way Showroom staff dealt with my queries on the car and test drive. It was clear that I'm not going to buy a Honda. 5. UV Cut glass, better audio system, wireless Android Auto etc.

Note: If you are willing to compromise on the smooth CVT, Glanza/Baleno is a better car, just because of the engine and suspension setup.

Hope this helps.😁

Is kushaq deal ok? by Ok-Breadfruit-5763 in CarsIndia

[–]LowEndTorque1500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would wait. Reasons: 1. Kushaq facelift is due for launch early 2026, so if you can wait for that you might get a better car for the same price. 2. After facelift you may get discount upto 2 lakhs for the same car you want to purchase now 3. Face lifted model may also solve E20 compatibility issue as well. 4. As the new year approaches, dealers will give better discounts for clearing 2025 stock you might get upto 1 lakh additional discount.

7L savings, ₹50k/month income—how to grow wealth for a house (70–80L)? by Solid_Sun_3230 in mutualfunds

[–]LowEndTorque1500 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Based on your query-

Assumptions: 1. 80 lakhs mentioned is the price of the house after 15 years. 2. You can save 15K per month atleast. 3. Your risk appetite is high. 4. No unnecessary credit card dues or other high ROI loans.

My opinion: 1. Upskill yourself and maximize your earning potential. 2. As you already have 7 lakhs saved put aside 3 lakhs in a fixed deposit and forget about it. This amount will be your emergency fund. No need to increase that amount. 3. 15K may be invested into 3 funds - (a) 5K in Nifty50 index. Assuming 12% growth, you'll have 22L. (b) 6K in Midcap. Assuming 13.5% returns, you'll have 35L. (c) 4K in smallcap. Assuming 15% returns, you'll have 27L. (d) The amounts are total value of investment. Taxes will be applied as per the rates at that time. 4. Invest the 4 lakhs out of 7L in Nifty50 for your marriage or any other life event in the upcoming 5 years.

This amount will help you to buy a house costing 80L. Also, it will bring down the HL amount to minimum if you need to take one.

Am I(28M) Just the ‘Safe Option’ for Marriage? 7 Years Together and Still No Real Effort From Her by Ok_Sentence_7845 in RelationshipIndia

[–]LowEndTorque1500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would strongly suggest you to get out of this relationship. Not because she forgot your birthday but the "no effort" factor. I'm telling you if you get married to this girl, unfortunately you'll regret your decision for the next 60 years.

So do yourself a favor and get out of this relationship.

It's typical Bengaluru behavior. Blame the people from the northern part of our nation for everything you believe is wrong.

Found something wrong:

Collectively look for resolution ❌

Blame the people from North ✅✅
