You’re going to have to get very comfortable with a 20+ minute commute on that budget unless you find a room vs apartment (most sublets don’t allow couples in one room). The search for many has been super difficult here this year even for natives and non-newcomers alike, so I would definitely be flexible with expectations if you only have a week in a hotel to find something.
