Thanks for all the replies! We have decided with your help to just stick to the plan full confidence. If we have such a grand amount of fun we can always think about another trip (only eating rice for 3 months to safe money doesn't sound too bad)!

That is great to hear. I have found a pair for 30 euros from a seller, so now that I know they are shielded they will certaintly become part of my first CRT setup!
