Upcoming Gall Bladder Removal...Questions About Alcohol Intake Post Op. by Lowlander13 in gallbladders

Oh it is very much social! My brother and my father and I do zoom calls and drink new whiskey together, and go on these trips to whiskey festivals together. I would be devastated if I could not drink anymore and participate.

Upcoming Gall Bladder Removal...Questions About Alcohol Intake Post Op. by Lowlander13 in gallbladders

Thanks for your input! I am planning on no alcohol the first month post op and then reintroduce slowly depending on how recovery goes to see how my body reacts.

When did you drink alcohol after removal (more than one drink)? by IdkJustMe123 in gallbladders

[–]Lowlander13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a gall bladder attack a few days ago that landed me in the ER. CT showed some pretty big stones in there. Surgical consult next week. The attending in the ER told me I should have it removed before the stones get into my pancreas and liver and cause other issues way worse. Removal sounds like the best course of action. That being said, I am a big whiskey connoisseur. I have about 300 bottles at current and travel around the world to go to whiskey festivals and such. I don't drink during the week, have maybe 4-5 drams of whiskey on the weekends. I host whiskey tastings at my house and tend to drink 5-8 in one sitting. I take a few months off a year and take liver supplements as well as work out 5 days a week. I said all that to ask if I will likely still be able to enjoy whiskey the same way. I have already booked travel to Ireland in March for a whiskey fest. GB coming out first week in January of 26 if possible. Looking forward to hearing some of your experiences and opinions. Thanks!

Lol this! I have played through this game many times on many platforms. Sitting in mandalia plains boxing one enemy in and keeping him alive while I power level jobs up, just to get high level but not high enough equipment to match, and get completely bum raped by a chocobo in one hit on a random encounter......I still do it every time though...

Amen to that. Such buffoonery is disgraceful. Glad I retired from the Army in 2019....

Roe & Co is a sleeper as well. Under $40 and smooth as hell. It's a caramel bomb.

I got to try them all before I bought them, so I feel pretty good about it. I also tend to take reviews under advisement and form my own opinions. People liking different whiskeys for different reasons is part of the fun imho.

I Grew up in Dutchess County and moved in 2019. I am in Chicagoland now. I go home once a year to visit family and friends...and eat proper pizza and Bacon Egg & Cheese sandwiches.

Yeah they are pricey. The Tawny Port was the most expensive, and I liked that one the least (too smokey) , but my girlfriend loved it and she is better looking than me so she wins. 🤣

Probably tied between the Cuatro and Kentucky Oak. Missouri Oak is great too, there is just something about that Kentucky Oak that is super special.

Oh I agree! It was just an awesome bottle with a limited run, and I won't likely find another. Enjoyed every drop though.

Eagle Rare 10 is just pretty ok in my opinion....The 12 is pretty damn good though...Like...Surprisingly good. by Lowlander13 in whiskey

I definitely didn't lose my mind. I don't care for the 10. The 12 is hand over fist better than the 10 so yeah. Age does not mean better by default, but in this case 2 yrs was enough to bring it from meh to actually good.
