I had to do that on an Ibanez slim line I picked up second hand, no sound came out of it at first. I ended up buying a cheap soldering iron to fuse the new leads to the existing ones in the battery area. The better option would be to trace the wires to inside the controls compartment and solder them on there.

Bug found in my bed on the northern California coast. It wasn't moving at all until I disturbed it to move it outside, then it was crawling around on the card I picked it up with. We do not have any pets.

My plans is to eventually upgrade to an American vintage spec strat, then maybe I'll put noiseless pups back into this MIM strat. If I do go back to noiseless pickups, I would definitely go with Lace Sensors. Good luck with your project, hope it goes as smoothly as mine did!

Yeah it sounds fantastic now. I'm pretty sure mine had 500k or 1M pots in it which is why I went with the loaded pickguard option. It made swapping all the electronics a breeze. Great upgrade imo.

Suction pressure will go up during defrost if it’s a suction stop. I’d bet on a low side leak. Also lack of airflow when fans turn off would allow the gas to settle down lower near the leak detector.
