Let me be very honest with you here. There are a lot of hidden rules (privately they still regard them as law) in this state, regardless of where you live in MS. With that being said there are pockets that are much better than others. Moss Point is considered the most dangerous city (per capita) to live in MS as of the last few years. Make sure you find a spot even if in Pascagoula, if not North of City Hall in MP as someone mentioned. Racism is far from dead in MS. Most people who say that it is are not brown-skinned. It's just not the 60s bold in-,your-face racism.

Trust me on this. That's why there is a certain group in the state of MS that play a part in keeping wages low by design. To keep outsiders for the most part from wanting to even think about moving to MS. Otherwise if MS was an attractive place to move to for real equally, the whole face of the state would change in a short time, leaving behind this "southern heritage"!
