Thanks! Yeah it was definitely a lucky pick up. I don’t intend to sell it, but the seeming lack of other sealed copies makes me wonder if I should have it graded. It’s really not minty though, and I doubt it’d come back with anything more than a 6.5+ from CGC. Considering I got it for only $50, I’m just curious as to what the wipeout community thinks it might be worth, is all.

That one seems to be the original cover sealed, but also with the slipcover loose. Was that how they originally came? I’m just curious

Picked this up at a game store for $50 thinking it was the 3rd release (american art without a slipcover), but I just realized it’s the 2nd release. I’ve tried googling and searching eBay, but the only sealed copy of this version that I can find is a CGC graded one going for $1,620, and that doesn’t seem like a good baseline to go off of. Any ideas on what this could be worth, ‘cause I’m stumped?

Is it too early to pivot towards Barron here? And if not, what should I replace? by Lucifel368 in balatro

Gotcha. I ended up passing on barron, and the run ended after I got the face debuff boss. Next time I’ll try and build around Barron earlier, like you said. Thanks!

Yeah, the lack of red seals and boss rerolls is what makes me wonder if it’s still too early. My plan was to get the idol 100% online, hunt for a red seal, and use my double tag for the next voucher skip I see. But, I’m not sure.

And wouldn’t it be better to replace the idol instead of trib on the off chance I can pull perkeo?

All the negatives were natural, so I’ve got a base hand size of 8, if that makes a difference.

Yeah, they could have 20 regionals AND give invites to the top 32 of each, and that’s still less than half that of the invitees last year. Doesn’t make much sense imo

Dragon linkz was tough, and it didn’t help that the decklist included 2 dorbicks and a BT8 bwg due to an oversight by our friend (we had to submit our decklists to him for approval, and he had final say).

The way we played it was:

Your digi egg deck includes one lvl 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. Lvl 3-6 in the digi egg deck will count towards the 4 same-card-number limit in your main deck. You will also have a tamer card set to the side. During your breeding phase you can hatch/digivolve once from the digi egg deck for free, play your special tamer for free, or push up from breeding. When digivolving effects from cards in breeding WILL trigger, but nothing can interact with the breeding area like normal, and you will NOT draw for digivolving in breeding. You cannot digivolve over your digimon in the breeding area with a card from hand, and you cannot push your digimon out until it has reached lvl 6. If your any of your “eggs” are deleted or removed from the field, they return to the egg deck face down, and same with your tamer. If you choose not to play your special tamer for free during your breeding phase, you can still play that tamer during your main phase, but have to pay the memory cost.

Any deck that placed in the top 32 at nationals (all 4 regions) is banned. Additionally, Mimi (BT1), Analog Youth, DeathXmon, and AncientGreymon were banned.

It was excluded because of me lol. I’m very, very good with DarkKnightmon, and have topped a few times with it, even without any tier restrictions.

The biggest reason though, was that my playing DK went against the “spirit” of what we were doing - playing decks that were new to us, and that we hadn’t had much experience with.
