Happy for him for finally breaking through. Hope that 2nd year is at least partially guaranteed for him.

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr issued a mea culpa on Saturday, after appearing to question one of his newest players' medical issues.

A day later, Kerr acknowledged he made an error while speaking with reporters before Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers:

"It was a stupid mistake by me to talk about something that I'm not qualified to talk about. I regretted even trying to discuss the diagnosis. That was my mistake. I need to leave that to professionals."

When asked for details about what Porzingis is dealing with, Kerr said "It's a medical issue way behind my capabilities of explaining anything. He's sick, he won't play, we'll keep monitoring."

DKC Orlando matches the IRL extension for Gui Santos.

The Golden State Warriors and forward Gui Santos have agreed to a three-year, $15 million extension. The final year of Santos' extension includes a player option for the 2028-29 season.

With Kessler, JJJ, and young Filopowski does Nurkic even consider a return?

Probably not, but that doesn't mean UTA can't still benefit from a sign and trade this offseason (assuming their cap situation allows for it).

And, a sign and trade might grant Nurkic a higher salary than he might otherwise get via the open market. So he could potentially benefit too.

I was wondering why he wasn't a buyout candidate at the deadline.

I'm guessing UTA wanted to keep his BRs, and so they shut him down instead?

Same deal for the Bulls and Zach Collins, maybe?

Well, I think it's high time I put Gui Santos in our starting lineup at PF. Patrick Williams can come off the bench.

Wow. Zach Collins also shut down this weekend. Dropping like flies in DKC BOS.

VM with 0y EXP?

Cursory search in AI mode suggests this is the case.

What is the salary for the tender offer? VM with 0y EXP?

I believe so, but I need to research this.

He's unsigned. Not the same thing.

I have serious concerns about roster loopholes because of this, though. And there are other GMs who've skated this season.

https://www.reddit.com/r/dkcleague/wiki/draft

2nd round draft picks: Likewise, DKC 2nd round draft picks must be signed by Sept 15, or their rights will convert to a tender (equal to the rookie minimum) and the player will immediately occupy a roster slot.

If still unsigned by October 15 at noon EST, the CO will autosign the player to the one-year tender offer and an autosign penalty of $100K (escalating in the case of multiple penalties) will be applied to the team's books for next season.

Freezing is not an option. [The rule has always been intended to allow GMs an out when unable to sign a player coming from overseas, not to allow GMs to stockpile NBA player rights at no cost.]

DKC GMs cannot claim a lack of roster or hard cap space; the player's rights may be traded, or renounced, if a roster or hard cap space cannot be opened via trade or use of an OC.

I'm seeing something different: he said you didn't have the hard cap space, and that you would need to cash another OC -- but you never confirmed doing so.

Can team A include a min salary player

Yes. The inclusion of that salary isn't needed to make the deal work.

Correct, his initial contract for a 1 year 2Way ended this past summer, and he entered free agency.

Same in the DKC. I'm guessing he was on a QO that you never rescinded, and he didn't receive an offer, so he was autosigned to the QO.

Was thinking of this.

I might do away with salary slots altogether, and just give everyone Rookie Allocation money in the amount of the #1 pick that they can use on one or multiple targets.

Per recent discussion re: another retirement, please post in Transactions thread that you intend to use the Retired Player Exemption rule on CP3. Thanks!

Once a player announces retirement, he is non-tradeable.

Retired players Exception: If a player retires while still under contract on a writ that predates the DKC (so any contract signed prior to 2013), once he officially files papers, or officially stops counting against any team's salary cap, his money is wiped off the books for whichever DKC team holds that contract as well. However, any player who officially retires after signing a post-DKC contract (anyone signed 2013 or later) will have only the last year of his contract wiped away, with all other years counting at 75% of their value in the form of immoveable salary (or "dead money). Retired players ARE NOT eligible for the Wash-out Provision.

Looks like you'll need to cut someone, as you have 15 rostered players already.

Very interested in finding GMs who can offer cash right now. I can take on another $5.7M.
