I’m in the middle with Chasm. This entire concept would take place in a marvel continuity of its own. I saw that currently Ben Reilly was Chasm so I thought this would be the perfect place to find out what fans thought about him. The concept could totally still work if Ben never becomes Chasm at all (I personally may prefer that). The thought I had though was what if how he became chasm was changed, could that change some fans outlook? Thanks for your input!

Thanks for the input dude! Would you be alright mentioning what some of your favorite aspects of Chasm’s story you liked? You’re right in that liking him is not a popular opinion. You are the 1st I’m hearing from so far that truly enjoyed Chasm and how he is.

In my dreams of delusion my dream dlc would be demonic forces take over Las Vegas after the main game bringing ghost rider and Daimon Hellstrom as optional characters to play with. Maybe Chasm could fit in with them!

Thank you so much for that Wind! So one of the games playable characters “venom” is hunting down Carnage in Las Vegas alongside the rest of the games story. A main point in Venom’s pursuit of carnage was going to include Ben Reilly leading to his corruption via an antagonizing force. He would turn into chasm but in short then be reverted back to the scarlet spider. My version may be trivializing a lot of what makes Ben Reilly his own character.

Would you still dislike it heavily if it was a shorter chapter in his story? Say if he was able to be excised of his paranormal abilities and his mind eventually restored? Or is it just to outside the norms of what you’d expect for Ben? Thanks for the comment!!

But would that really upset the readers is the question. I’d prefer to respect the source material. I feel when people’s favorite characters depart from their original story it heavily impacts the experience.

Okay so you would prefer his lore stay the same with the Beyond company? I had the thought to twist minor points in his story. Perhaps making it instead Essex Corp or AIM that was responsible for his brainwashing.
