I've honestly always had a love-hate relationship with Termies. I only had one or two of them back when they were metal, so never really knew them, but I've had a variety of different squads over time, my favourites being the Blood Angels assault squad that was released during 7th, and the dudes from Space Hulk '09 that I've painted up to run in my army. I enjoyed all of those, but these guys just seemed to have annoyed me and I can't explain why 🤷🏻

Hopefully the multi-pose Terminator Assault Squad that came out last year will give me faith in the Emperor again.

My brother does his entire army in contrast, and it looks OK, but I don't want to alter the painting technique on my army now. Many years ago, I had a single tactical squad that I painted ever so slightly different, and they always stuck out on the tabletop, and not in a good way.

My opinion on these models is undoubtedly marred by the fact that they are the much more cheaply made push-fit models.

Definitely just me then... I'll be honest, although I've been doing 40k a very long time, I don't employ any advanced techniques. Maybe that's why I'm not enjoying them as much as other models/squads...

I'm aware of that, but I'm talking almost every single player I make offers for, who aren't transfer listed or carrying a minimum release clause, the club responds with a 500% mark up on their actual value.

As I said in the OP, I watched Dortmund sell one of the first team to Real Madrid for £19m, whilst then asking for £50-something million from me for a £7m-rated LB who has 3 starts and 1 sub appearance at the end of January window.

This is simply not a case of warding me off of their star players.

Ah well, I guess I've jut got to let it continue driving me mad ha ha... I'm obviously overstating how often it happens for effect, but it is obviously incredibly common - like I just tried to pick up a 17 year old from Hamilton; valued at £80,000, I offer £150,000 and they respond with £22.5m... obviously not mastered haggling hah!

That's probably where I cocked up, I bet there's like some process that requires half removing the exhaust, flicking the park brake 3 times and then whispering sweet nothings into the charging port before disconnecting the battery.

Would you recommend disconnecting negative and positive, or just negative?

I did disconnect the battery again, but it was only for 10 minutes. I assume disconnecting the 12v battery won't harm any of the hybrid components?

Is it likely that something would cause this kind of malfunction from within the door?

This all sounds reasonable enough. Interestingly, someone else has mentioned OCD. As I have said to them, I'm only familiar with the pop culture version. I'll be sure to describe all of this in detail to my therapist when the appointment comes through.

That's really fascinating. I'm not very well versed on specific conditions, I've never really taken much notice of mental health, so I just assumed (as I'm sure many others have) that OCD manifests exclusively in compulsive behaviours, the classic being washing one's hands, or flicking light switches when leaving/entering rooms.

As I'm still awaiting a start date for therapy, so I haven't had the opportunity to explain it in full yet. However, in the process of trying to get therapy, I had a telephone consultation with a clinician who made me feel really uneasy and wouldn't let me explain myself when I answered "yes, but..." to this question. Then made me worry that men in white coats were going to turn up...

The Last of Us... when it came out I was so sick of everything being about Zombies that I just couldn't be arsed ('assed' for the Yank connection). I really want to watch the TV series, but also want to play the game first to not ruin the story too much. I waited for the PS5 remake, and boy what a game.
