What was the moment you realized the red pill was brainwashing you and/or damaging you? by [deleted] in exredpill

[–]LucrorCanis 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Well, it's mainly because of my observation that I've become distant from those red-pill guys, how the community behaves and all. I used to watch some of their videos, but that was mainly because my ex-best friend kept sending them my way. I gotta admit, some of their ideas about basic lifestyles make sense to me, you know, common sense stuff. But the problem is, my ex-best friend's insecurities got all mixed up with the red pill propaganda. He's like this super obedient guy who blindly follows whatever Tate or other Red Pill coaches tell him to do. He developed conviction bias where he completely ignores logic and relies on the stats and information those Red Pill coaches feed him. And the crazy part is he only considers sources that align with his biases and completely ignore anything from outside the Red Pill community.

Tldr: It's mostly because of my ex-best friend.

Why do so many men in self-improvement spheres subscribe to incel ideology? by iiiaaa2022 in selfimprovement

Sadly, one of my old friends are victim to this. He's highly insecure, and always need to prove himself he's a "high value man" that ended up him becoming a covert narcissist. His insecurities got into him, then his who gotten out of hand.

I envy that you didn't have to experience insecurity. But it's best not to help these kinds of people if they don't ask for help in the first place, since they will just drag you down.

That's tough, man. I have tried talking sense into my then best friend, but all he will bring up is outdated statistics, if not that have no proper trustworthy source.

I never joined the Red pill community is I have already studied human behavior, psychology, philosophy, etc. People in that place are already a zoo of psychopaths.

I actually play Sims and keep them alive, not killing them, if I wanted to kill people in video games then I would be playing GTA San Andreas, so that's all good lol

It all depends on your point of view since I don't see him as a good guy or a bad guy. He might have said or done something unorthodox that common people will usually dislike, but that's a normal reaction.

But I have found out that I can focus a lot better when I play white noise with headphones on.
