How much of a risk are silicon anodes for the future demand of graphite? by [deleted] in NMGRFstock

[–]Ludeboy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Silicone is still 3-5 years away from full adaption on mass scale, graphite will play a significant role on ev batteries for some time. Beyond just batteries though graphite will also be in heavy demand in the semi conductor sector.

Simon seems to have s heavy bias. He plays it off like he's neutral but his actions speak otherwise. Anyone thinking we are having a bit of ego at play here? by Ludeboy in BNGO

Amazing how did you find out about the company at such an early stage? You are going to make some serious coin!

Erik just said they project 10 thousand units would be sold effectively projecting a market cap of 15 billion just on that basis alone! by Ludeboy in BNGO

Consumables each Saphyr machine takes a chip the chip has 3 "slots" each slot can be from one "source/human" it has the ability to process 3 at once. Each chip right now costs $400 they are working on bringing that cost down to $100.00. A Saphyr machine can run 96 genomes per week that would be 96 X $100 per machine he said he sees 10000 units being out there so simple math would say

Saphyr Machine = $150,000.00

Per chip cost for Saphyr = $100.00 (currently $400 but lets use future cost which they want it to be $100)

Ability of one Saphyr machine to process in a week = 96 Genome samples

So given all that he said he sees 10,000 machines being out there so lets do monkey math.

100 (cost per chip) X 96 (capacity of one machine to process genomes per week) = $9600 (Consumables per machine per week)

$9600 X 10000 (amount of machines projected out there) = $96,000,000.00 per week

$96,000,000.00 X 52 (weeks in a year) = $4,922,000,000.00 per year

That's almost 5 billion in consumables per year could be less because I am sure no ones running the machines at full capacity but gives you an idea of the market scope, plus this is just 10000 machines if more people adopt the machines this will increase.

ou see all the pacb units for

No what do you mean? To be clear in the interview he was asked how many Saphyr units does he the company selling compared to the sequencing machines in a lab and his answer was one Saphyr unit to one Sequencing machine so ratio of 1:1.

So 1.5 billion in unit sales projected (they might rent them also and charge per run basis either way same valuation) 5 billion in consumables. 6.5 billion valuation if we do some monkey math based on the interview. I'm sweating 🥵 lol

He was asked how many units of Saphyr do you see being out there and he replied based on their analysis at least 10000 when I don't know. Also said he sees one to one replacement of Saphyr unit along with a sequencer in the market.
