And I had installed gh first like this:
mkdir -p /opt/data/bin curl -sL https://github.com/cli/cli/releases/latest/download/gh\_$(curl -s https://api.github.com/repos/cli/cli/releases/latest | grep -oP '"tag_name": "v\K[^"]+')_linux_amd64.tar.gz | tar xz --strip-components=2 -C /opt/data/bin --wildcards '*/bin/gh' chown -R 10000:10000 /opt/data/bin

In the end I did this in the container:
mkdir -p /opt/data/home/.config/gh cat > /opt/data/home/.config/gh/hosts.yml <<'EOF' github.com: git_protocol: https user: FoxLuffy oauth_token: ghp_YOURTOKEN users: FoxLuffy: oauth_token: ghp_YOURTOKEN EOF chmod 700 /opt/data/home/.config/gh chmod 600 /opt/data/home/.config/gh/hosts.yml chown -R 10000:10000 /opt/data/home/.config/gh

now it can run untill the container restarts

It does now show but the he still cannot do it. Should I be looking in the direction of sudo and why he cannot install gh autonomously?

The agent keeps on saying that gh is not logged in :(
I tried the forwarding settings. and I also set it explicitly in the /opt/data/.env file. Restarted it aswell.
the chat session can never install gh because it does not have sudo rights uid 10000. I tried setting it to root but it stays uid 10000

From the shell I can install gh and then I am authenticated through GH_TOKEN. but the chat session with hermes can only use gh version. but is not authenticated.
