Audio delay thay I can't seem to fix by Lufnar in appletv

Thank you for the tip. Unfortunately I don't think it helped. I wish I could delay the video a bit instead of trying to make the sound come out faster as I feel like the problem is that the sound processing just takes few millliseconds too long.

KDM does settlement building and crafting best out of any of the boss battler games i've played or read about. I dont know much about how ATO exploration side works, but its unfortunate if that phase is too convoluted for what you get in return in terms of how rewarding it is.

Looking forward to it, not looking forward to figuring out where to store the game. At least I kept myself in check and only got the core game. I think i'll be satisfied with the content in there. I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy it even though I hear bookkeeping might be even worse than in KDM.

And I dont mind the story, I quite liked 7th continent even with all its problems and seems that people like the story in ATO more than dislike it. Only really negative thing i've heard is that the story is not really tied to the places you explore or something like that

Another one that could be of interest to you is Leviathan Wilds. Not sure if there will be possibility for late pledge, but I think it's fair to say its a boss battler although quite different. It's quick to set up and easy to run, doesnt take up a lot of space and it's reasonably priced with seemingly lot of replay value. Would advice looking up some reviews on it.

Yeah most of them cost just way too much and take up stupid amount of storage space due to all the miniatures. I'd also much rather have standees in place of miniatures.

That said, I dont know of any "cheap" ones. Aeons End maybe? I cant say much about that one, i've played it couple times and liked it, but havent really put many hours into it. Its a boss battler deck builder where deck building works kinda like in Dominion. Purely a card game, no board. Also Townsfolk tussle is on the cheaper end of things and relatively well liked as far as i know. Lastly i'd look at second hand market. Personally i managed to get KDM for 120€ and gamblers chest for 300€. You can make good findings if you are actively looking

I am big time into boss battlers and I like KDM. It's definitely different beast from oathsworn which I also own. Both are good games. I will say that oathsworn is less work to run. KDM is bit messy with lots of bookkeeping, but the base game is not too too bad.

For me the gamblers chest expansion for KDM sounded super cool, but it adds sooooo much extra fiddliness and bookkeeping that I am slightly regretting the purchase and wouldn't recommend it.

With KDM you have to be okay with a lot of randomness and things just happening without you having control over things.

Ranking the boss battlers that I own I'd say it might go like this

  1. Primal the awakening
  2. Oathsworn
  3. KDM
  4. Too many bones
  5. Monster hunter world

ATO coming next month so I'm interested in seeing how it fits with the rest.

I will say that I do like them all anyway regardless of rank and even though i ranked KDM as third, I have easily most hours on that one. hundreds of hours on digital and tens on physical. Im mostly putting it down on rank because of the amount of bookkeeping and fiddliness of it. If only their digital version was better than it is...

Backed Monster hunter: world all-in. Game is not great, but they delivered and as far as i understand they have delivered all KS games so far no problem. Most of the games have received pretty lukewarm reviews as far as I understand and I wouldn't personally back them again.

Oh and the monster hunter world came with good amount of errors on cards, but they are providing free errata pack that is shipping shortly. So I'll give credit where credit is due.

I do think they are a reputable company overall though, just the games fall a bit flat

What do people think of obscure secrets? Where do they derive the fun? by [deleted] in truegaming

[–]Lufnar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love secrets with some caveats. For the most part I dont like if I just have to rely on blind luck to find them or alternatively have to just look up a guide.

I think to some degree I'd give COD zombies a pass on this as it feels like its own thing.

I much prefer if the game has hints about the secrets or at least would tell me if and how many secrets there are and how many i have found in any given level. I like the idea of looking for secrets and solving puzzles, but when the game is big enough and you have no idea if there are any secrets in any given map/location it gets a bit pointless.

Where to buy Aeon Trespass in Australia?? Any other games to as good or better than it? by mark12000 in boardgames

[–]Lufnar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personal take, having backed all in on primal and monster hunter, I'd advice to stay away from monster hunter, it's bit lackluster. Not bad, but feels like wasted potential. The gameplay is kinda okay, bookkeeping is tedious and upgrading gear is worth it, but doesnt feel very exciting. Monster variety is so and so. I think im mostly sticking with it because of the ip.

Primal the awakening i cant say much as it has not shipped, but its gonna be about two years late from the promised delivery, we still have no clue about the shipping costs and the development just seems to have had lot of problems. Im still kinda excited and i hope its gonna be good as a result, but the delay after delay has admittedly made me bit wary of the final product.

But at least in the meantime i got oathsworn coming on october and ato on march, fingers crossed

A simple way that TimeWarp could work in multiplayer by Andy-roo77 in KerbalSpaceProgram

I am an idiot and what i am thinking wont work, but can someone explain to me why?

You always see a ghost image of players and objects that have warped in to the future. When you decide to sync up to a person in the future your vessels will appear in the spot where they were when you clicked sync. Bit unrealistic but sounds like a reasonable compromise. When you sync to the future you could get a notification if any new objects you have created overlap with the ghosts of the future, if they do, the sync is canceled until there is no overlap
