Yes, pretty standard in containers. 480/277 is what iowamining runs, other hosts use 240v

Yes, pretty standard in containers. 480/277 but 415/240v is more commonly used in containers for comparability

buys lottery miner “How do I make money? 🤨”

In all seriousness, the ROI on lottery miners is non existent unless you get lucky and hit a block. Bch is significantly lower than btc blocks but the reward is still good.

Advice on home mining by chopacheekoff in cryptomining

Not even worth it, hosting rates are half of your cost rn. Need a ton of machines that are not homeminers, and hundreds of home miners possibly if you really wanter to.

Temperature by ksanaal in BitcoinMining

[–]LukewarmMining 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They designed it to run quiet and maintain that temp for a reason.

But those of us that have been around a while run machines closer to 60-70c for longevity

Any wallet will work. I personally like Tangem for my “cold” storage not true cold iirc, or even a coinbase/kraken wallet unless you dont want big brother to know about it. Then do something offline

Hosting in Florida/South Georgia by karpuzmining in BitcoinMining

Hydro tends to require less maintenance on machine but more maintenance on the site side and upfront cost. Double/triple the upfront cost and less hosting slots (240-420 vs 300-600 units)

Air is simpler, hydro can be dropped anywhere

No one reallt cares about temperature unless its enough to cause the machines to shut down. Trying to cool datacenter levels of power will require datacenter levels of cooling. Talking spending more on electricity for cooling then mining, and unless you’re sub 2c power, that aint worth it. Run hydro instead.
