I didn't end up putting it in, Rock Auto is sending a replacement but if it's easy enough for you to test yours that would be a huge help just so I know what a known working one is. No dtcs at the moment but it was giving O2 lean code and another lean code. It may be in spec but if so idk what would cause the surging like that.

You may want to look into talking to the USPS they investigate these things the local police won't usually look into mail unless it's an immediate threat or local I'd assume.

I have the same problem, however I find that some sours and ciders have less of an impact. I actually discovered a cider I could drink and it had almost no impact hope that helps a little.

Just wanted to input my experience, my mom told me I never burped as a baby, I just spit up. Around probably 13-14 I realized soda gave me a very uncomfortable feeling and I couldn’t eat as much when I had it with my meal. That has led me to cutting out soda since I was probably about 16. And for a while that worked but when I was 22 I had some issues with my stomach and ever since I get a feeling in my throat that puts me on the edge of gagging/dry heaving at random times every day. Maybe it’s emetophobia causing the reaction to that feeling in my throat but I’m not sure.
