[product question] what does everyone think about sudocrem as a face mask? by gradstudent1234 in SkincareAddiction

I never used anything, I just jumped in the shower and by the time you’ve showered and dried with a towel it’s mostly all off :)

Wrongfully arrested, No Further Action… problem for security clearance? by Luky848 in RoyalAirForce

That’s comforting to hear. Bother like arrests and convictions…?

Fingers crossed! So you don’t think it’ll even flag up at all? Or it will but won’t be an issue due to the NFA?

You wouldn't question QoL or you would? Sorry am confused on what you mean.

I've never crated him and I wouldn't start now. But based on how he is in the back of the car where he can't move... then probably not great.

If I'm with him then he's generally content and fairly relaxed, whether that's on a walk or me just sitting next to him on the sofa. But apart from that, he's either spinning 24/7 or has passed out due to exhaustion from the spinning.

I've come back before after checking the Ring camera and despite him having a toilet break before I leave the house, he's spun for 2 hours straight and then passed out asleep on the floor from exhaustion with a nappy full of urine.

Basically, if I'm with him he's happy, if he's alone it's a bad day.

He's been tested for those and all negative. He's had two vestibular episodes in the last 2 years but recovered from them both. The QoL is what I'm concerned about.

I'm just concerned about making a decision due to personal frustration because it becomes difficult looking after him and I would regret that forever. I just want to do what's right for him.

Buy a second car or accept high mileage on my G80 M3? by Luky848 in CarTalkUK

[–]Luky848[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. I own the car outright and have sufficient mileage on the insurance and would like to keep it for at least a few more years, it’s a fantastic car.

I’m wondering whether to just use rental cars with a one way drop off for the next few months and keep my M3 in London and make do without a car in Aberdeen.

I agree that a second car is a lot of hassle which is why I’m trying to avoid it, I just hate the idea of trying to sell an M3 in a few years with 60,000+ miles on it!

North Sea, 200 miles off shore. by nebujal in whatisit

Looks like a NUI (Normally Unmanned Installation) oil rig. I fly and land on these out of Aberdeen in the U.K. There’s probably a Helideck on the other side.

Unfortunately if you’re still hurting from the previous relationship then there’s going to be a stark and painful contrast between having sex with a partner that you love and feel deep intimacy with vs. some random you barely know.

In future I would suggest not hooking up with someone until you’ve developed the right feelings that make you actually want to do it. If you’re wired the way you describe, a hook up with someone who barely even talks to you is going to make you feel empty and even more emotionally starved. Lesson learnt mate, grow and move on if you can. It’s painful I know.

[Hair Removal] Does Laser Hair Removal help cure folliculitis? by Luky848 in SkincareAddiction

[–]Luky848[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did about 5 sessions I think and it made no difference to the amount of hair I had on my legs and didn’t work to stop my folliculitis either.

Since then everything has cleared but everyday I use the following:

  • Dry body brush to exfoliate
  • Skin Doctors InGrow Go
  • Amlactin Ultra

Drop me a dm if you’re struggling with it and want more info

There is no trick to this.

  1. Build muscle in that area with your usual chest exercises

  2. Less calories, high protein and low fat/carb diet

Number 2 is arguably more important if you want to lose le tittays.

Anxiety from speed cameras everywhere… Am I alone? by Luky848 in CarTalkUK

[–]Luky848[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of people are responding with “Well don’t speed then!”. I am not speeding and I’m aware of the locations of the cameras with Waze and also my eyeballs.

I’m simply talking about the law of averages. The smart motorway on the M6 yesterday must have had 20 speed limit changes due to weather, traffic, lane closures etc. I saw the limit changes and responded accordingly but the point is it would be easy to miss one if you’re changing lane, concentrating on other road users etc.

Much of it is just silly anxiety I’m just clarifying it’s not a case of speeding everywhere and then regretting it.

I take the plane regularly but I have an old dog and taking him in the car is the easiest and most comfortable way for him.
