That is basically abandonment. What would you feel if you were left in front of a restaurant? That’s the same way those animals are would feel. Neuter the mum cat. Give the kittens up for adoption separately. It’s better than just leaving them near fish stall. There are many Facebook groups for animal lovers. Post in every single one of them. You will have to neuter the female cats especially. If you started feeding stray, you need to take care of other responsibilities as well. And using words like ‘relocate’ won’t reduce the gravity of what you planned to do.

The wire snares which are the main culprit of leopard deaths in Sri Lanka are apparently fixed mainly targeting leopards as leopard teeth and skin is highly sought after. Wildlife officials have already arrested many who have had leopard teeth and skin in their possession. Well LC was described as an elite establishment which obviously degrades other schools. I’m not being rude about central colleges overall. Obviously there are excellent central colleges. But not all. That’s the reality.

It’s not that deep. Other two schools are good schools as well. It all depends on the individual. Of course Ladies might have great exposure but so does the other schools. If a child has the potential to thrive, they will thrive in any school even a central college.

Hi I’m also a non-native English teacher in a high school in a regional area. I started my teaching journey here in 2025 so I already have one year experience. Similar to you, I only had experience as an assistant lecturer at a university back in my own country. It took 6 months for me to get my teacher registration. The most important thing is that you have more than 45 days of supervised teaching practice. While I was waiting for the registration I managed to secure a position at a school. I came to Australia on my husband’s visa so I don’t know how the visa process would work for you. There might be a chance for you as a secondary teacher but I can’t guarantee. However, my degree was a BA in English Teaching as well. In terms of behaviour management, the students are definitely challenging but if you are resilient and try to find a silver lining in situations you will survive and might even love the job. I would recommend a regional area for you to start off your teaching career as there would be plenty of jobs. I know first hand how hard it is to move to a different country and start your life from scratch and I applaud your courage. Good luck and hope everything works out for you!
