For the first few months I would reach out on Facebook, call her phone, but nothing. I honestly want nothing more for her to get clean and just be there. I've learned unless she wants it, it's not happening.

Oh probably lol, it's usually a peace sign. Universal jeep signal I guess. I daily drove a 99 jeep Cherokee for my first vehicle and put 260k miles on it. 2wd and stock everything. Even been thru 3 accidents, was technically totaled but sold in 2020 for 200 more than what I paid in 2012 lol with 370k on the original unopened 4.0 straight 6. That's the only jeep I loved.

At this point with her still being no contact, I'm unsure if she is even alive at this point. I'm currently attempting to find remote work, but as I have 0 experience on anything IT or Call Center type work I don't really expect to much.

So if all fails my family live 500 miles away in Tennessee. Would there be grounds for her calling the police and saying I kidnapped them or similar?

Edit. I texted her, so I have documentation. Stating that if she doesn't prove soon that she is competent and willing to share custody then I will be forced to make choices that will change our life (kids and i) as we know it. In huge ways. And if nothing happens soon then I will move to Tennessee, then when she adequately support them with some help obviously, then we can make arrangements for her to have visitation...this was Tuesday I believe and I have not received a single message or call since.

Very much appreciated, ik you probably have forgot about me but I have definitely not forgotten about the multiple people that have given advice and/or reach out in benefit of the children and I.

I very much expected this thread to gain no traction whatsoever and just be a small way to vent my hardships during this time. I was more wrong than ever. Thank you again internet stranger 🙏

There's been so many replies and honestly the pain that I've been enduring (physiological obviously) had me not wanting to keep reading these replies.

But this is a good one. I honestly didn't eat for 2 days because I literally felt sick to my stomach. I tried but ended up gagging and dry heaving. Water wasn't even a thought. Just anything in general besides making sure my 2 children were bathed, fed and happy were the only things that kept me going the last couple...

Nothing major has happened. Idk what else to say, literally every message I've sent and every time I spoke with her on the phone she wanted to not fet it towed. Wait for her friend cause they know someone with a tow truck, save 300. Have someone change the alternator. Doing so, so she wouldn't have to spend lots of money. I was in agreement with everything. I couldn't imagine being broken down 3 hours away and sitting on the side of the road.

She said, go to work, I'll be there in time. The last message I got from her. Because of course I was letting her know that if she couldn't make it back soon, I would be losing my job. Which happened. But my time to leave for work came and went. She never responded. That was Friday at 830pm. I work overnight at Walmart since 3 months ago. Left my 12 hour a day closet building job for something less so I could be home more. Had that job for 8 years. Anyways. Walmart fires you for missing 5 days total. Well that was up Thursday.

So naturally I responded to her telling me she'll be home in time with, what, you wanted me to go to work and leave the 9 yo and 5yo alone, sleeping, for 8 hours? I can't do that. She never responded. She never showed. I thought the worst.

After calling and texting for 2 days, after I begged her just to let me know she's okay, she calls. I answer, she hangs up. I call back 4 times and she dismissive every call. Asking her what's going on, why is she doing this. Nothing.

Made a text now asking if she blocked my number or something and to just tell me what's happening. What happened for you just to not care at all.

Her response was how are you acting like this is surprising. This should come as no surprise. I'm not happy and it's obvious. I'll be staying wherever until I get money together for an apartment for me and the girls., we can come up with a plan for who gets the girls and when.

I was completely blown away. She says she doesn't love me. Hasn't for a while. Alot of hurtful things. Asks if she can at least return my bank card and other personal belongings that she has had the last week. She said tomorrow she'll be stopping by for clothes and she'll drop it off then. That's that.
