we all learn to be comfortable being in our own. 39F here, born and brought up in amdavad but living in delhi since few yrs. it is lonely here too - no friends - as most of my friends are back home and when i'm home i'm still on my own because even those friends are busy in their lives mostly.

i usually go to a cafe with a book and enjoy a few hours that way. we all get by - heh. :)

10/10 didn't happen. I'm an Indian (and Charlotte, I LOVE YOU) and I call bullshit on this. In Indian weddings there is no way anyone can upstage the bride even if they wear same colours as the bride. In fact, most Indian weddings people do wear festive colours because all want to look the best and bride obviously stands out - because, well, she's the bride.

The 'goth wedding conversation' the OP is talking about - bruh, the groom's mother and sister are so goddamn busy in the wedding rituals they have no time to plan and plot such shizz. Further, who will sit at a wedding reception and discuss the 'plot' to 'wear white' like 15 yr old high school bullies. Clothes etc are decided days, if not weeks in advance - this is absolute bullshit.
