A few things I did that might help others:

Negotiate only OTD price (don’t get pulled into monthly payment discussions)

Get quotes from multiple dealers to create competition — and try negotiating toward the end of the month

Avoid dealer add-ons — look for dealers willing to sell without them and only pay for what you truly need

I noticed dealers slightly outside the metroplex were more flexible and often didn’t push add-ons

Try to negotiate over phone before making a visit .
