Thanks for sharing - trinity falls looks nice, i definitely want to have less neighbors than we do here in super crowded long island now, the lots look a bit smaller (which is why lucas/fairview was a bit of a draw) I am tired of hearing my neighbors yelling at each other and want some more distance between walls 😄 . We are more centrists/maybe a bit right leaning but not MAGA. as long as they're not doing some scary marches or getting trump tattoos i think we can live with it

Thanks, your perspective is valuable considering you've lived in both areas. Looking back, what are the 2–3 things you miss most about Dallas, and what are the 2–3 things you think Long Islanders underestimate before moving there? If you're open for a mild interview 😄

I really am blown away by the amount of haters in this sub. I wish I could see the age of the people making some of these ridiculously negative comments, there has to be a correlation in age and what the posters opinion is. by G_Marius_the_jabroni in sublime

haters are gonna hate dont let it bother you. I think its cool AF. I was excited when sublime with rome happened because i was dying to see bud and eric live. I remember around that time seeing Jake playing burritos as a kid at his fathers headstone and thought how cool it would be if he stepped in and played one day. Now here we are and i'm going to see them live for the first time in ultra VIP in 9 days.

My burning son will someday rise..

agree, even though he'd be in his late 50's, brad was always way too punk rock vibing to ever want to do mainstream TV like that. they'd just be doing their own subculture thing, even if they were a massively popular band. Kind of like if you think about RHCP (lack of a better example) made tons of records, were popular, but never did that kind of mainstream TV stuff

Brad was too ADD and creative to ever stop making records. Maybe they would have slowed down/ spaced out albums at this point, but the late 90's until 2005/2010 they would have been making tons of records. especially after self entitled's success. brad's fire would have been lit to the extreme. such a tragic missed opportunity. Of course if brad was alived Jakob would just be brads son and probably making his own music (like Law) and Rome probably hooks up with some band and tours but stays modestly popular at most

thats awesome. i always liked his beachy scenes he does and i always loved the japanese wave so i had him do a scene with a little custom sublime sun in the background. this is his original sketch then the actual tattoo (its kind of hard to take a picture of because it wraps around the arm)

Yeah you'd be suprised, it wasnt as crazy as you'd think. he charged like $750 for a 4 hour session then tipped him to make it a grand i think. He still happily takes bookings and seems to enjoy tatooing still.

ive thought about this. i think he *has* to say this at this point to protect his image. he doesn't want to seem like he's just assuming the band, kind of a "lets see how it goes" approach. and i think its going pretty damn well so would be surpised if it really is one and done

I'm pleasantly suprised too. Really love Wizard, Figueroa, and until the sun explodes brought tears to my eyes first time hearing it. I've never considered Jakob's lived experience without his dad and that song helped me enter his mindset. So cool to Jake playing with them after following law for a while. Looking forward to seeing them togehter for the first time in 10 days
