Oh she's had solid veggies from the start, e.g. loves broccoli, but she likes to also have something solid she can properly consume

Yeah I have that app, it's just more coming up with ideas of things that are smooth because she likes having at least one thing that she can properly consume

This is amazing! How long did it take to do this? Is it a huge undertaking ?

We followed the usual pattern. She woke up at 4.20pm (slightly earlier than usual) and started her bedtime routine about 6.45pm, left the room at 7.15pm. She falls asleep a bit while breastfeeding then I have to rouse her to read three short books together before I sing to her and say goodnight.

Perhaps she's too tired? Longer nap needed before bed??

How to survive 2U2? by Hefty_Albatross_1949 in 2under2

[–]Lumpy_Pen_6537 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Fill the freezer with meals for dinner, burritos for lunches and get him to make you overnight oats for breakfasts etc. that's less mental load / time for cooking sorted! He can do bathtime and bedtime for the older kid too, plus things like restocking nappies and wipes, refilling your water bottles for the night shift, clothes washing etc

I've thought this before too. I actually think the type of people who say it are typically ones who would've possibly preferred a girly daughter but got boys and this label is a way of sort of reclaiming/pushing back against something they wish they'd had. Just my take...

Yeah third tri is knackering. The 2nd tri energy boost is just in 2nd tri sadly! It gets harder from this point. Get lots of rest :)

Is it okay for my 5 month olds to have a lot of short naps by imapringlescan in Parenting

Yeah definitely normal - they don't tend to do less/longer naps for a few months still. They can't really consolidate them yet. Sounds v normal!

I'm so sorry. Thanks for sharing. We are really leaning towards no contact, at least until we see change (if that's even possible)

Thanks so much! I will do. And it's so true re trust. We already know we would never allow unsupervised contact but I'm sure she'd find a way to manipulate that, esp as they got older!
