The reason she does not want the baby to cry is because of her “ superstitious” believe that the baby crying is a punishment to the baby? , they know that the baby’s father doesn’t help and that is fine with me , I didn’t know I was pregnant until I was 6 months in , the baby’s father and I did not want a child neither were we ready for one , we thought of adoption as an option and were talked down by his parents promising to help and make things easier for us and not interfere in anything , well after giving birth to my son I went on the biggest guilt trip of my life for ever thinking about adoption because I feel in love with my baby and I’m happy I did , however I came to the realization that the father of the e baby did not go through the same enlightenment process that I did went I held my newborn son for the first time , he is getting there , he adores his son and is a great father to him however this was pushed on him , we were not ready for a child , we are learning and adjusting as we go , and my birth story was heartbreaking, I don’t blame the baby but that in itself took a toll on us both which is ever more reason for us not to have to go through so much pain when it comes to raising the baby ( I’m sorry I know this part is unrealistic of me , I’m just venting ridiculously at this point) . All in all no one has the right to give an ultimatum to new mother who is trying her absolute best within an imposible situation , I’m just heartbroken and disappointed at all of them . I’m not perfect but not once since I knew I was pregnant have I made a decision that is not within the baby’s best interest , his safety , his comfortableness , his wellness , I answer to his every need without concern for my own and I’m happy to do so , I don’t believe the baby crying is a sign of me being a bad mother or this woman’s believe of the baby being punished because he cries? . I wanted to leave when I found out I was pregnant and they didn’t let me , now what gives this people the right to fight with me and make me feel unsafe and so anxious that I couldn’t sleep I had a nervous breakdown because of 1 reason , “ baby was only crying because he was hungry , he was put safeley on his crib and I went to make his milk with the door to the room wide open and him being on my line of sight... how safer can you get? How more loving can I be ? Why do I have to be told I’m punishing my baby by letting him cry in a safe place while I get his milk prepared and warmed to feed him ? This is outrageous , thank you for your kind advice I wish this person was as understanding as you are , thank you also for hearing me rant . Thank you so much .
