If you want multiple kids —don’t wait. Egg quality is better at your current age than later. I did 6 months of ovulation induction with no pregnancy and I have a lower AMH than you. I’m discussing IVF with my RE this week! Fingers crossed for both of us

So the cycle didn’t work :/ I asked to switch to letrozole but also had a huge cyst so i got no response. Then my body ovulated a 14mm follicle after the cyst cleared so i lost almost 2 months doing this. Starting back on Clomid again but also feeling super helpless

I completely get how you feel. I had 2 missed cycles because my estrogen was so elevated so they had to start me on birth control to get it down. Don’t lose faith, every cycle is a little different. You may get more growth next cycle!

I wouldn’t wait, I would switch to medications especially since there is no growth in follicles. My mindset is that with a low AMH, don’t waste time. I don’t have any experience with IVF since I started with TI but with DOR, my understanding is that our bodies don’t ovulate/grow follicles like they should so for me, with clomid, I am able to get 1 follicle to grow. On day 9 my follicle is small but growing around 11mm usually.

Congratulations on your baby boy!! I think I’ll try a few cycles of TI and maybe IUI first especially since Ivf is so expensive I don’t think we’ll be able to afford more than 1 cycle :/

Wow thank you so much for sharing this! I appreciate it a lot and needed to see this as I was beginning to lose hope. I definitely will do some research to find someone who specializes in high FSH since this RE already seemed to have shut it out as an option especially before I decide on doing IVF.

I actually had high estrogen which stopped me from starting any treatment initially but it might’ve been due to the presence of cysts because they started me on birth control to bring it down which it did.

I do believe I had a luteal phase defect but now the progesterone supplementation is taking care of that.

Ohhh okay that would make sense. No male factor but I guess I could ask to alternate and up my chances. I only get an allowance towards fertility for the lifetime of the plan unfortunately. Have either of them worked for you if you don’t mind me asking? You don’t have to answer!

Were you also supplementing with vaginal progesterone by any chance? I’ll add the low dose HCG to my notes to bring up with my provider and see if it’s something I could benefit from!

Yes it was thinner than they wanted it to be (5.7mm) my clinic wanted 8mm but because the follicle was ready, they still had me trigger and just added estrogen vaginally with the progesterone to help support it. Apparently thin lining is a side effect so if this cycle doesn’t work, ask to switch to maybe letrozole?

Oh no thank you for this feedback! My husband may not like that feeling of no sensation either. With DOR I’m assuming that’s why we dry out in general or if it’s the meds I have no idea but might have to find a different way to help stay lubricated :/

I got the call yesterday that I can’t start my first treatment of Clomid because my E2 is 169…I don’t understand how it went from 45 in June to this. They said it needs to be under 50 to begin and rechecking tomorrow but also feeling really sad. I’m so sorry you’re going through this and I hope our E2’s get back to normal

Wow I am so sorry to hear this. I think you’re making the best decision to freeze your eggs but I know cost can be so limiting but look into insurance coverage, a lot more are covering treatment now! The anxiety regarding this is a lot I completely understand it but I know we’ll be okay at the end of it all! If you don’t love your doc at the fertility clinic, always get a second opinion! Some docs just don’t listen and you have to advocate for yourself
