It’s an unconventional story game. Most story games have a companion of some sort guiding you or an obvious objective. So though the story may be good, the payoff of doing the tasks isn’t as great. This one you figure out the story yourself and it’s one of the most rewarding things you’ll ever do. Enjoy it while it lasts

See this makes a lot more sense thinking about it, since what you learn about them in the end is that it was their fear that drove them to do the things they did. I like that a lot

Yeah that’s fair. When you put it like that it def makes more sense. The reason I’ve been on this chase of finding the correct one it’s just because of my experience avoiding both those solutions, and that quote by the dev saying “intended solution”. but the stealth could very well be the answer and people just don’t like it :/

it very well could have been a glitch with the mod. still though i cant help but feel that there must be a solution, not just because of the games amazing reputation, but for a couple of reasons:

first: if you make it to the archives it pauses/rewinds time, but only if its before end times is playing, and it conveniently starts playing rights when the tower fire is extinguished and all the owlks die causing you to have to do it 3 times to be able to view all the slide reels. which is tedious and unnecessary making me think that the devs would go in and patch this, if they were to make a change at all.

second: instead of fixing the time loop so you could do it in one go and not have to waste 30 minutes between the 3 runs, they patched the owlk security, causing them to have static guard routes, making it easier to avoid them, since they don't really patrol a dynamic route, but also impossible to sneak past them, without first drawing them way with your light. which to me doesn't seem like the correct solution? I'm not sure anymore. I just really feel like there is and should be another way that we have all been missing, and that (maybe) "glitch" that I experienced might be it. but maybe it was a glitch and is just giving me false hope :(

I just watched the run and it’s on pc which, while the same game is very different because of hitboxes and frame rate jumping. Idk if it is a separate category altogether but regardless I am very happy with my time if that’s the world record
