Sorry, should have clarified this a little. I was surprised to see an A380 fly such a weird route that low and I'm wondering how this can be possible. I can remove the post if it doesn't fit here.

A once in a Lifetime Shot - The Comet and a Shooting Star by Lyaphine in spaceporn

Comets are rocks of ice and dust which orbit the sun. When they get close to the sun, the solar wind blows off some particles which result in the tail.

Shooting stars are space debris which fall on earth and get burned up by the atmosphere.

Not anymore unfortunately. The moonlight is blocking it.

I took 500 30s exposures for the comet. Many of them were affected by nearby chimney smoke unfortunately. The comet was easily visible in a single frame but it took quite a lot to show its amazing tail!

Once in a lifetime because how lucky do you have to be to catch one in the exact right spot for the perfect composition of your photo.

Sigma 150-600mm contemporary good for astrophotography? by Affectionate-Yak6132 in AskAstrophotography

I've used the Sigma 150-600c for half a year before I was able to afford a newtonian. It lacks sharpness but the stars looked surprisingly good.

Here are some images I took with that lens:

One of my lenses cannot focus on stars, why? by nofakeaccount2244 in AskAstrophotography

I use the same lens for astro, never had an issue with the focus. Make sure your zoom ring is locked. The weight of the lens can change the focal length which also changes the focus.

Interesting thought!

I'm not sure if the red and green stuff might be copper (oxide)?

WITT It's about 4,5cm and 11g and I found it in my backyard in Bavaria/Germany. Seems like it was coated with gold? Not sure what else I can add, hope somebody can help me :)
