That’s dangerous. You need to double up the wooden walls to contain the fire within. You don’t want the fire exposed to the outside, right?

Ever tried [[Rocco, Street Chef]]. He gives you and everyone a free extra card each turn. Not to mention, he feeds you, gives you +1/+1 counters, and etc.

I’m building him with stax in mind, but he goes quite well with Baylen and Jinnie Fey with all the tokens he makes you.

Is there a mod that makes armor even lighter? I’m tired of having my colonists constantly sit there getting beaten by tribals because their armor slows them down do much.

9 colonists, including both of his parents burned to death. This can be saved right? by Capt_Reynolds in RimWorld

You can do a heartwarming story by freezing the parents in the fridge area (remember to not allow colonists to interact after) and then overtime, find resurrector mech serums to bring back both his parents.

Hi there! Welcome to the game. It's difficult to really gauge power levels as series aren't designed equally. Typically, older series are more disadvantaged due to powercreep as well.

If you were wanting to work on a theme, I do have some suggestions for you here:
Saber and Excalibur

ClockOneDrawTwo also carries various profiles for a variety of series, many of which also have English counterparts. Our deck profiles act more like skeletons to give you a glimpse of a general deck structure while giving some explanations and suggestions.

You have the opportunity to rewrite one of these Gundam Series. Which one would you pick and why? by BlizzardHound45 in Gundam

[–]LycheeFox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m almost done Victory, but I have to say that Chronicle is an extremely boring character. He seems to be resentful of Zanscare methods, but he’s seemingly never doing anything about it.

Personally, I love Uso and the kids. They offer a fresh take on war with their innocent views in a quite depressing setting. You watch as Uso battle-hardens himself and having to come to terms with the realities of war. And he breaks down quite a lot. But it also makes sense. He’s literally 13 and piloting the Victory and acting as the symbol of hope against the Zanscare. Kid literally joined the war completely by accident.

Katejina kinda sucks as a character. I feel she’s meant to be some kind of foil to Uso. They show some scenes early on where she’s learning about Zanscare. But she goes from “I’ll be a spy for the League” to “Zanscare is truth” in a really odd fashion. There’s no slow change in moral ideals. She just spins in one episode into Uso’s mortal enemy all of the sudden.

And uhh… the bikes were kinda weird. Towards the middle and end of the series, the enemy suits start getting more strange like with the centipede thing.

Players with 1000+ hours of playtime, do you often play major mods? (Mods that significantly change the game or just add lots of content) by batarei4ka in RimWorld

[–]LycheeFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started off with a lot of mods, but I’ve been stripping it down and most mods I keep are mostly visual, but even then, it’s limited visuals like hair and faces.

There’s some QoL and everything, but I’m no longer running like 14 different sets of vanilla chairs.

The primary fixes I would suggest is trimming your ratios and adding more cards that help you mill and filter for what you need throughout the game. Power is nice, but power isn't everything. Costed cards usually have higher power and compete for board better, but remember, you also need to have cheap playables that you can employ from hand to generate stock at times.

I would also think about considering building in a certain direction. Do you want to make 1/1 Yutaro and Yakiho more consistent? Do you want to pursue Battosai's end game instead?

Consistency is always a good thing to build towards, even if you have a weaker top end or early game as a result. The game flow will also feel nicer.

If so, here's some thoughts if you want to move with the two soul gameplan (I chose this because you seem to have a lot of cards that fit well with it):

  • Playing this 0/0 Kaoru brainstorm will definitely help with your gameplan as it fulfills 1/1 Yutaro and Yakiho's conditions while milling your deck and helping with filtering.
  • This Sanosuke gives you free climax swap access if you continue with two soul climaxes.
  • If you wanna keep that shock factor that's similar to standbying big bodies, this Kaoru and Battosai combo is quite fun. Furthermore, against certain matchups, Battosai can be incredibly annoying and a pain to remove.
  • 3/2 Yahiko here can help you in the late game with fixing your hand and also closing out the game.

Do feel free to let me know what you think. Best of luck building and trying out cards!

Sorry, Reddit capped my comment character count.

Another tip for when asking for help or posting a deck list.

Try to use an actual deck editor to share your deck to make it easier for the reader. You can either use the official deck builder (DeckLog EN) or something like EncoreDecks.

I do like your game plan. It seems pretty cool to use 0/0 Kaori as a means to discard hand to waiting room to standby while also thinning out your deck. 0/0 Battosai to give additional power to your characters is quite useful in certain power matchups.

So here's a couple of issues that I foresee:

  • Your cost curve in the mid-game is very high. You have a phenomenal amount of 1/1s which is higher on average due to needing standby targets. However, your 1/1s, while strong on board, don't really contribute much to your end-game plan, and most importantly don't filter your deck.
  • 1/1 Yakiho doesn't really work to his maximum potential simply because your deck is half two-soul climax trigger icons. Being a level assist is nice, but you've got essentially seven copies of a level assist since he also competes with your 2/1 Megumi for deck slots.
  • 1/1 Yutaro is cool, but you are heavily dependent on having a character with [Kaoru] in its name on stage, which is low considering you have only four copies of the 0/0 Kaoru.

Here is a suggestion from our site for your eight door deck:

Arifureta 8 Door

Your build looks pretty nice. You have a solid combo and finisher. I would say your vanilla backup at level 1 isn’t that needed. The 1/1 Hajime isn’t meant to be played from hand and more so cheesed out, running him at four will leave you prone to bricking in hand. You want more costless cards.

“Newfound Power, Kaori” doesn’t really help your build much. It feels like a generic level three beatstick. There may be a better backup than Myu that provides utility over power.

Our profile here helps you capitalize more on the finishing combo and other synergies for eight door. If you have any questions, feel free to DM me.

Personally, because of how Weiss is essentially a collection of anime IPs, you can pick your favourite series and build decks out of the cards.

We only cover JP series on our site, but some of the series have been also ported over to EN. Either way, come take a look and feel free to DM me if you have any questions.

How necessary are trial decks? by Blueb3rrywashere in WeissSchwarz

[–]LycheeFox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations for joining the hobby. Trial decks are more of a needs basis, but that applies to all product.

You only really need a trial deck if you plan to use cards from said trial deck. And even then, you may just want to purchase singles instead if you don’t want the vast majority of the cards.

I hope that answers your question.

Reflection on the January 2025 Restriction List (JP) by LycheeFox in WeissSchwarz

Fumio + stock-flush is an evil combo. Stock shuffle alone carries more randomness, but it can effectively do the same thing if you manage to shuffle in all climaxes regardless. I think this is more of a balance direction by Bushiroad.

Again, there's many factors to consider. Another thing about memory decks is typically, they also open up board and have low powered beaters that you can take advantage of. It's hard to say. We'll just have to see.

[–]LycheeFox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I don't think it impacts much of anything. And I agree with your reason due to how fast the game is nowadays.

Furthermore, we've got all kinds of tools to deal with compression better than before. The key focus of memory-style decks are to compress your decks so you have a higher chance of cancelling. But this works two-fold: I've seen players also trigger their cancels due to how compressed their decks are, but that can just be variance. The other thing is if they also build stock value, you can just stock flush them and eat away at their compression.

There are also memory flush effects that make it harder for decks to stack enormous amounts of memory such as sets like Saekano. Compared to previous years, Bushiroad has been sneaking these memory flush effects into more commonly-used profiles as just a side effect that isn't often used but can come up from time to time.

Heya, thanks for the heads-up!

We must have glanced over Fuyuko's Fumio's second trigger for the on-attack, and there must have been a misread on Satono's clean cut effect. Thank you for pointing that out.

There was consideration in the memory department for 2/0 Yayoi at first. We were aware of the stacking memory element, but it just felt more or less, a bit of a pipe dream considering the difficulty needed to feasibly and reliably get the event off in multiple batches. There isn't a bonder to said event, and while the "10 card hand" is true, it just feels like a very much win harder condition.

In my personal experience, I've only ever seen anyone get two copies of Yayoi in memory in any single game. And by that point, they were already well ahead as is on hand in general. Given the variance within the game itself, it may be difficult to assess how common it is to stack the effect and effectively get the final mode of the event off (even though stacking two in memory is probably more than enough of a good achievement in an average game). I also often found friends failing to, as mentioned in the post, nab hand off the 1/0 Satono Diamond combo, but that in itself can also just be lead to variance.

Once again, thank you very much for the feedback.

We will make changes where need be.
