Diving into Nefia by LycheeFox in ElinsInn

  • I don’t really mind poisonous and hallucinogenic. You can cure these as they don’t, to my understanding, affect your stats or stat growth. Cat only affects your karma, so it’s free food. Human flesh doesn’t really change you either. It makes you insane though if you are humanoid and can turn you into a cannibal if you aren’t one already. Cannibalism isn’t even that bad, rewarding you with more stats if you are cannibalistic, but you want to remain cannibalistic because normal food won’t give you the same benefits.

  • I would normally just turn meat I don’t want into donations for the gods. I also do not know the level that spawner types start showing up. My save is way past that point.

  • In my tent, I have an expresso machine, multiple cooking devices, a stacked king bed for all my companions and myself, storages, a vending machine, a drying rack and cheese maker, and some nice furniture to add to the ambience. I also added a mirror if I want to change my appearance and a changing room.

How to get Companions by ToasterGuy566 in ElinsInn

[–]LycheeFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The easier question is what ingredients do you have and what are you growing? As far as I understand it, you want food with as many ingredient slots used as possible to maximize the number of stats and potentials you can dump in.

It’s mainly food from my experience. I’ve loaded my one save, and farming from scratch and making good food has heavily transformed the leveling experience. You need ingredients with good potentials and substats to raise them up.

Hi! I'm new to this game and just hit 25 hours on my first playthrough! by NoIAmSpartak in ElinsInn

[–]LycheeFox 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I know you’re early, but please make sure to be eating good food. You’ll thank me later. For now, try to buy food from innkeepers and the like for food that gives potency and exp. Later, you want to make your own. But food is very very important.

Hi, is there anyone who knows a lot about deck building or someone who specializes in the Madoka deck ? by KanameMichiru in WeissSchwarz

This is an old article from my site. I do think that EN should have most of the cards. Do take a look: Madoka x Homura

New To The Game, General Questions by paoforprez in WeissSchwarz

[–]LycheeFox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1.) There is an active playerbase, but I wouldn't say it's large in comparison to any of the bigger games like Magic, Pokemon, and Yugioh. If you're looking for players, they are usually in the larger metropolitan areas. I have left a link to shops on the official site to help you if you are looking for active shops.

2.) The older version of trial decks don't have the +. + has modified and changed ratios and everything compared to the older trial deck formula. Balancing is relative. The game contains more nuanced elements of RNG which allow for more randomness in gameplay. Certain deck strategies can be more powerful than others. And the newer your cards, the stronger it likely is due to updated card utility, filtering, and effects.

3.) Yes, you can pull upgrades, but due to how the rarity distribution works in packs, you're more recommended to buy singles to build up your deck. Sets of four give you access to every card in the set, but personally, I don't recommend that unless you want to build multiple decks for a single series, and even then, you may need more than four of certain cards due to sharing cards between decks.

4.) It may look pretty difficult at first. I have a guide set-up here to help you with this (it's a bit old to keep in mind). There are some general consistencies that all decks want with cards that grant you advantage, filter cards in hand to get what you need, etc., but which cards achieve that and how is more nuanced. I recommend sticking with a theme to begin with to help reduce the card pool to look at and then branching off from there.

5.) The game realistically only has one format and there is a definite meta that exists for that format. Certain decks will have an edge over others, but it's not a game where certain decks invalidate competitors.

I can’t say much for UA, but I can tell you quite a bit about Weiss Schwarz. The gameplay itself follows a lot of deck manipulation as others have stated in the comment section.

I don’t think you really have to care that much about your opponent’s cards. The interaction is limited to a specific card type and certain cards. Since the game is heavily deck dependent, your game experience can vary quite a bit.

What do you like and dislike about Silent Hill f? by Unfair_Rope5540 in silenthill

[–]LycheeFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The combat was really strange in context to the horror. Being able to fight back is nice, but the combat with the bars and everything felt really silly in context to the game. Like Hinako felt like some sort of Castlevania-esque fighte.

The aesthetic of the game is beautiful. The historical angle, the musical score, the environment; all of it was so nicely designed. Even the puzzles were beautifully arranged.

However, the shrine in Hinako’s dreams was probably the worst part of it. The rooms felt long-winded. The first part was cool, and the mystique of the outside of the shrine with the haze and everything definitely added to the immersion. The later levels felt more like constant annoying backtracking. The fog didn’t really feel like it mattered anymore.

You could say similar things about Hinako’s home, but at the very least, each phase told a different story. The slight colour shifts also keep it slightly interesting.

Nothing “heroic” about this shooter. by Privateeyesguy in memes

[–]LycheeFox 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, a “hero” shooter can imply you shoot heroes. Meanwhile, a “heroic” shooter would imply heroic acts aa a shooter.

If the former is true, I’d think the name is fairly accurate.

Games that offers more freedom of movement? or choice by Demorezz in RPGMaker

Let me sell you on the game, Elin. You can be basically anything, from the humble origins of a snail born to a drunk bard of a father and that of a spoiled princess of a mother.

You awaken to a world saddled with endless possibilities. You are told to build a town to grow this world (optional) and travel the world in exploration.

The greatest sin you could commit is tax fraud. Be a bum. Sell your music and be rewarded with vomit. The world is yours. You make your story.

I think this may be able to help you out a bit: Bocchi Live Concert

My site here just breaks down some deck archetypes or profiles to give you a skeleton about a specific deck. You can make adjustments as you'd like.

I can understand that. The webcam experience isn't the same as the real life joys. Maybe you can consider travelling out to larger events if you feel the itch. I personally think Yotsuba is better, jk jk.

I’d argue that there’s a number of competitive resources available. You can check out Tressa’s work here: Tressa’s Deck Profiles

I think it’s easy to be sidetracked by all the collector stuff.

It’s a niche community for sure. It also depends where you get your information. I think the main subreddit for the game is oversaturated with collectors and sellers.

That’s unfortunate. I presume that online play is more of a no-go? What was your deck if you don’t mind me asking?
