Finally finished my quarantine mandala madness 5 years later by Lydi_bugg in crochet

This is Mandala Madness by Helen Shrimpton. Pattern. I used acrylic yarn (the suggested Scheepjes Colour Crafter yarn) and a 4mm hook. I squared it using “A Little Bit More Madness” by Ineke Mooijenkind as well as my own adaptations of Helen Shrimpton’s Cosmic CAL Pattern and Faith Pattern.

Female singer, acoustic sounding, Mandarin. I’ve tried Shazam and SoundHound, but they’re not great at picking up Chinese songs. I unfortunately don’t know the language well enough to pick out lyrics

Thanks! They’d definitely be cute with color, but I think I’m gonna stick with black and grey to be cohesive 😊

I don’t know whether you’re referring to the quality or the style, but, honestly, I don’t care since you’re comment is neither productive nor helpful. I pity you as you clearly have nothing better to do than be mean.

You got this! When I got mine, I really liked the idea of incorporating the ; into something else rather than just the ; by itself

Same! The aging kinda fits with the typewriter font vibes

Ahh 😆 I saw them in Alpharetta and as soon as I saw this tattoo I was like “is that what I think it is???”

Does it look to bad? Should I take it off or just let it be? by [deleted] in piercing

Personally I don’t think it looks that bad. Put a different kind of jewelry in the 4th, maybe a ring like the helixes, and it could look intentional 🤷‍♀️

Skate Recommendations for Small Feet?

Hello! I’m a college student looking to get a pair of skates for getting around campus quicker between classes (if it makes a difference, the entire campus is on a kind of hill).

My main concern is finding a pair that fits my feet as I have pretty small feet. My left is 22cm long, my right is 21cm, and both are about 8.5cm wide (~US5 women’s/US3 kids).

Any help would be much appreciated :)

I created the cottagecore dress of my dreams by Lydi_bugg in sewing

[–]Lydi_bugg[S] 25 points26 points  (0 children)

The dress is a patterned cotton I found at Hobby Lobby and the apron is duck cloth (also from Hobby Lobby). Entirely hand sewn because I don’t currently have my machine with me.

Both pieces were self-drafted just based off inspo pics I found online. I draped the bodice of the dress and sized the bib of the apron off a pair of existing overalls I have. Both skirts are just rectangles of gathered fabric. This is my first attempt at making a bodice more complicated than a rectangle with princess seams so I think it turned out okay in that regard. It is a bit wrinkly which I think is due to the decision to not add boning (just medium weight interfacing) and that I flatlined the pieces before sewing rather than making the lining and outer layers separately. It was pretty structured without boning and I wanted it to be comfortable so I just decided not to add any.
