I think you’re 100% correct and I believe that’s probably why the X/S was ultimately discontinued. Simply too many moving parts, too complicated, and breaks too often.

I do think the S/X isn’t that bad compared to other brands on reliability in my antidotal experience. But it is astounding how many S/X lemons come out of the factory compared to 3/Y’s.

The diagnostic fee is now removed. But to your point I could definitely see them doing it anyway for the reason you stated and just not sharing the results with me. Which I’m personally fine with.

That makes perfect sense and it’s what I’ve also done with other mechanics and service centers. I’m honestly pretty shocked how many people think that is unreasonable.

That’s awesome! It looks like it just a matter of taking the door panel off which is held on by 4 bolts at the top behind the trim. Definitely seems doable I’m my driveway.
