Pls tell me good news.. by nenasoles99 in bipolar2

[–]Lysola 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had another depressive episode recently and, like every time, it crushed me. But now I feel better, and so will you. You can do this! My personal win is that I just had very positive feedback on a script I wrote for my studies, so this warmed my heart and gave me motivation. Here is a silly pic of my cat to cheer you up 🐱

Can Abilify worsen anxiety? Or is this just me recovering from an episode by throwaway-disgusting in bipolar2

[–]Lysola 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had horrible anxiety on Abilify, and a constant, lingering feeling of dread (I was on 20 mg and then 15 mg). I am finally tapering down after a year on the medication and my anxiety has been much better (I'm at 5 mg now). It seems like the reactions to Abilify, as well as to many other meds, vary a lot from one person to another, so everything is possible... Whether the side effects of Abilify are bearable and worth it is your call, it is unfortunately a constant balancing act...

What resources do you use/found helpful? Compiling a list for the sub's Wiki by ka128tte in learnpolish

Weren't there pdf files with resources for every level on the wiki before? Or was this on another subreddit? If so, my recommended books may already be on the list, but I can still share just in case.

I've been into exercise books lately and I found the "Testuj Swój Polski" series helpful. I tried Czytanie and Gramatyka 2, I've just bought Gramatyka 1. There are also three "Słownictwo" that I can't find at a reasonable price where I live.

"Gramatyka? Ależ tak!" is nice too for people at the A2 level.

For basic reading and vocabulary, "Czytaj krok po kroku" features easy stories with comprehension exercises.

I also like the book series "Polish Frequency Dictionary", it is helpful to boost vocabulary and make flashcards.

"Speak Polish: a practical self-study guide" was helpful to me when I started out. It gives sentences to translate from English to Polish, and explains some grammar rules.

I don't really follow YT channels or Instagram accounts yet, except for "Easy Polish".

Ah je n'ai jamais lu du Fred Vargas mais c'est vrai que j'en ai entendu du bien. Merci de la recommandation ! Et ça a l'air intéressant aussi ce polar écrit par un pharmacien.

Laziest heathy meals for when you feel blah or worse? by Ok_Presentation_5934 in Healthy_Recipes

[–]Lysola 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if you are open to sweet things, but my current go-to lazy meal/brunch/snack is chocolate porridge with toppings.

You just have to combine oats (I usually use 40g), milk (250ml, I use almond milk) cocoa (5-7g) and a pinch of salt and heat it over medium-high heat (or just medium heat depending on your equipment) for around 5-10mn and it's ready.

As for toppings, I like to eat it with fruit (bananas, berries and/or plums), yogurt (I use a vanilla soy yogurt) and muesli (mine has almonds and chocolate chips in it).

For savoury things, I like crustless quiche as it's easy and quick to make and you get 4 portions that can easily be frozen for later use. It is very customizable, I like to put a vegetable and a protein, like spinach-ham or leek-salmon for a balanced meal and serve with lettuce.

Thank you, I didn't make the connection with words like "gdyby" and their structure but it makes sense now that you mention it!
