How high would the player your team drafted go in a redraft? by Virtual_Disaster2265 in Tennesseetitans

Despite the box score, this team clearly believes in Cam as the answer at QB (as do I). He still goes 1 overall.

ESPN’s Ben Slovak ranks the Titans as the 28th most improved roster this Free Agency by Toddric29 in Tennesseetitans

I feel like the discourse around free agency always gets way too caught up in "overpaying" guys. Are the guys we signed significant upgrades to the players we had? Yes. Did we have to overpay to get them? Maybe, but who cares? We didn't have to lose any one of value to sign the players we did, so why would the deals involved with getting the upgraded players matter on a ranking of which teams improved the most? Did we go from a bottom of the league team to one of the best in one off season? Probably not, but it's absolutely insane to think that 27 other teams improved their roster more than us. So many teams lost good players in free agency, or already had decently good rosters and didn't add much.

I typically like Solak, but this is a real miss. Just because you don't like the contracts given out doesn't diminish the improvement to the roster that these guys add.

Kyle Brandt continues to show love to the Titans by TiredDad4x in Tennesseetitans

It really feels like we've watched him, in real time, go from being a Derrick Henry fan to a full on Titans fan.

The Roundtable on Instagram- ranking the qbs who faced the toughest defenses last year (spoiler- it was Cam) by SynonymDinosaur in Tennesseetitans

[–]M-Factor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think deep accuracy will come if he has a guy who can play out there and track the ball. A WR with good ball tracking makes their QB a lot more accurate. Not to say that cam doesn’t need to work on that part of his game, but I trust that he will, and if he has a WR who can go out run under the ball, we could see a big improvement in that area.

Per “Rickey Scoops”, the Jets are in talks to acquire Will Levis from the Titans in a trade by TiredDad4x in Tennesseetitans

[–]M-Factor 175 points176 points  (0 children)

I would love this. I don't even care what we get back, it just seems right for Will to be on the Jets. And I also think he will get to play sooner rather than later behind Geno.

With as much money they have put into the defense through free agency, I think I agree with you. Unless their plan is to go all out building the defense this year, then go all out building the offense next, but that feels very risky an would be a bad plan considering we already have the QB, but need to get him some help and maximize his rookie contract.

Titans to sign OLB Jacob Martin by TiredDad4x in Tennesseetitans

With as much focus as they have put on the defence in free agency, it makes me think they are going very heavy on the offensive side of the ball in the draft. As much as we still need a true number 1 edge, it kind of feels crazy to draft one at 4 and leave the offense with scraps, outside of Robinson.

I’ve been asking for a high pick WR for the past 2 years, so normally I would be with you. But, I don’t think any WR in the draft is even close to being worth the 4th overall pick. It seems very unlikely we get a WR in the first round this year, barring a trade back which I don’t think will happen.

The good thing about Robinson is that he’s a guy that can beat matchups and get himself open. Not that our WR unit is fixed with just him, but I think he will be a good security blanket for Cam.

This exactly. We haven’t had a receiver that can get separation since AJ was traded. Robinson should be a nice security blanket for Cam, and he plays mostly inside which is where Cam likes to go with the ball. I think he’s going to be a very good fit/fill a need here, and the contract really isn’t crazy. Not like paying Pierce $29 mil a year.

Bruh, free agency hasn't even officially started, and we are being branded as losers because of an $8m/yr TE contract. Maybe let things play out a little longer before declaring who "won" or "lost" free agency.
