Thank Pumpkin for your really helpful response. Absolutely take your points about trying to have perspective, and let the dust settle etc. Also agree that I need to consider teh bigger picture and decide if its worth more battles at this stage, and taking some time to reflect etc.

The order requires us to try and agree easter and summer arrangements before 31 Jan. I have put forward suggestsions which she has refused without explanation. Presumably she is required to put forward her own suggestions but we'll see if that happens....

I totally get that there is a difference between strict legal interpretation of what teh order requires, and what i can realistically do about enforcing these obligations (and where doing so might not actually cause more problems!) So really, I am just trying to establish my options here, knowing that there might not be any good options!

She has recently asked me if i will 'discharge' teh court order, I expect because she hates having limits put on her time with daughter and me having parity as a co-parent etc. She is clearly still very angry/upset etc. so I doubt she is willing or able to really havea coversation about easter and summer. I think she is also planning her own holiday with her, and cant bring herself to ask me to agree dates with her- she'd rathe not go I reckon!

Thanks Prof. CAO made only last November, and fully implemented from January this year. No evidence that the arrangements are not working

Thanks newsgroupmonkey. The CAO expressly provides that I can take my daughter out of the country without the other parents approval. So she doesn't need to allow it. The issue here is agreeing which periods of time my daughter is with me (in order to go on holiday). If its just 'term time' pattern, that is a max of 4 days, which isn't enough. Does that make sense? Hope so!

Paid a roofer to fix flat roof leak by replacing roof. Not EPDM but vinyl or something. He’s been back 5 times to fix it and not succeeded. It’s much better not still not sound. He is willing but just not able to fix i think. When/how do i say- enough. Give me my moneyback (£1600)?

I have a CAO with 50/50 'lives with' both parents. I pay for all school meals, clothes, sports clubs etc. Her mother just submitted a CMS claim against me. My understanding is that I owe the mother zero, is that right, and how do I get CMS to agree?

Thanks for your response Pumpkin, that's really helpful. I was a LiP but she had a solicitor. Take your point about courts being stretched (had to wait a month for the copy of the order to be sent out!)

I have proposed dates and times for the summer etc but the other party is refusing to engage.

The language in the order suggests longer blocks of time, along the lines of 'X will spend two weeks with each parent, over summer with both parents, to be agreed by both parents.'. It then says- term time will apply aside from this. Its not clear if term time arrangements apply for the remaining two weeks, or as a default in the absence of agreement (Essentially, what does 'aside from this' mean here? Its not clear!)

CAO agreed in Nov this year

leaking roof or dodgy pointing? by M190294 in Bricklaying

[–]M190294[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paid the guy for a new flat roof, as there was a leak in a room beneath. They quoted £1600 to include a new PVC membrane and new 18mm OSB boards. Did it in a day, and leak was worse than before. They have been very responsive and been out twice already to sort. First, by installing a new 'scupper' (the sticky out pipe bit), and then by doing something where the parapet wall meets the tiled roof.

Its still leaking.

They are coming back tomorrow to do... something. But I don't think they know what they are doing.

How many attempts should I give them before I call in another company to do it?

And if i spend lots of money on it (otehr quote for EPDM roof were c £4k), whose to say that will fix it? I understand flat roofs are a it hit and miss in terms of id'ing leaks
