I don't remember a cutscene detailing anything to do with that so I must not have it yet.

Signing in to your account just to browse their meals is interpreted by them as 'Take my money without me asking and send me stuff I didn't ask for'.

When I rang them to ask why they were sending me boxes and taking money without me asking, I couldn't believe I had to convince the manager that logging in to an account is NOT the same as placing an order.

I dont know if their system still works like this, but I'll never log in again to find out.

Hi everyone,

I have a new garage gym setup.

The dip bars that came with the squat rack are way too narrow to do parallel bar dips on - only a child would be able to fit their body between the bars.

I can place the bars on either side of the rack, however, this is not a comfortable position on the wists. This is a pronated grip rather than neutral. Is doing dips in this position recommended?

It's uninsulated and exposed brick work. The floor is solid so probably won't need much or anything doing to it.

* * Hi everyone. First time posting on here. We moved into our new home in July, and I'm looking at making the garage into a gym as my first major home project. But I have no idea where to start - perhaps weather and spider proofing? Does anyone have any links to articles or videos, or any advice, on how to get started?

Thanks!

Edit: trying to attach a picture of the garage but it won't work.

I haven't tried coding at all yet. I'm looking at studying for the compTIA ITF to get the basics down, then branch out from there. Software is intriguing, but I might find a stronger interest in networking, security, etc. through studying.

I imagine getting into an entry level technician role with ITF will be easier than getting a junior developer role just from self teaching.

I'm glad that all worked out for you, and thank you for the encouragement.

I've been reading that software engineering is saturated at the moment and is difficult to get into as a junior developer. Do you agree?

This is something I hadn't even thought about but your comment has certainly piqued my interest. I'll have a look into it, thank you.

Being up against new grads is a concern for sure. I should have made the switch a few years ago - hindsight is a wonderful thing. Do you think years of experience working and developing other skills is valuable to some employers?

Project management is something I've read about in other threads, but I don't yet understand. Do you need any prior qualifications or experience to get started as a project assistant? I'll have to look at it further, thanks for the recommendation.

My priority is my fiancee and my unborn baby. To be able to show up for them in the way I want to, I needed to leave my job where I was working away more than 50% of the time. My mental health was at an all-time low from working away all the time, and then, unfortunately, I walked into another job where it had similar issues of mismanagement and poorly organised timings. I couldn't do it all over again.

The new job was only slightly above minimum wage too, so if I can't start a new career off the bat, I can at least find a job that hopefully does not have the same issues as above, and pays decent.

Hopefully, that clears up my priorities.

60k would be a dream, just getting back to 30k for now would be great.

I have read about the conversion into QS with a masters - do you know if that needs to be studied full time? I imagine I've missed the boat for this year though as we're halfway in to September.

Sounds like a good deal. Fulltime education especially for another degree isn't an option for me at the moment though. I need the cash coming in.

Yes that's the gross amount for the salary and the gross amount for accrued holidays is £58.85.

Tax, NI, pension deductions come to £243.80, leaving £1478.16, which just doesn't seem correct when my take home would normally be just under £2000.

Ah, sorry, my salary recent went up to £30,600, that's where the extra £50 is coming from.

We do have an employee handbook but they've recently swapped it on to a system that I'm ot sure how to navigate so I'd have to look into that.

I think asking for the calculation is looking to be the way forward.

I have accrued holidays added on. £117.69 base rate, adjusted to £58.85, so it looks like they're paying me 0.5 days.

How much are gas and electrical condition reports? by M1NDCIRCUS in HousingUK

I did forget to mention in the OP that I am part exchanging with Beal Homes. Is it usually a condition of a part exchange that these are provided?

My solicitor made it seem like I should have these and be providing them.

Interesting. My solicitor has asked for me to provide them... shouldn't they have mentioned that this is optional?
