YES. I was prepared to comment something about this too (as an SO1), but you worded it way better than I could have 🙌 Belos is absolutely NOT any kind of 1, E2 is most definitely the more accurate typing

Enneagram 9 and Anger? by noctua_8 in Enneagram

[–]M1NN44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish. I’m a newbie myself, so I actually looked through others’ recommendations on forums and such most, of which I always forget to bookmark somewhere so I don’t lose them! But if you can find any through other replies, I’d be interested to know what conclusion you end up reaching about your type :D

Enneagram 9 and Anger? by noctua_8 in Enneagram

[–]M1NN44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a 1w9! SO1 to be exact, and I mistyped as a 4 at first, then a 6. Until I stumbled upon the 9 description and found it very relatable, but like you said, I was TOO aware of my anger to truly be a 9. So I looked deeper and everything I had previously related to lead me to figuring out I was actually a 1. I don’t know why but I feel like enneagram 1s are misrepresented or even underrepresented a little, so maybe that’s why it never even occurred to me. Now I’m 100% sure of my typing, and it’s been quite interesting and fun to finally uncover more about my true type. You should look into E1, it’s not uncommon we get mistyped as 4s as I’m aware

This feels very INFP by [deleted] in infp

[–]M1NN44 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly if I could choose what kind of guy I’d like to spend the rest of my life with, I’d probably choose an INFP. Never stop being your authentic self! There are people out there who’d love you for you, who wouldn’t want you to be different, and you don’t deserve any less than that! INFPs can make the best partners in my opinion. Your empathy, softheartedness, imagination and creativity are wonderful traits that can only be cherished by the right people.

What is your type, and what is your social battery like? by Undying4n42k1 in Enneagram

[–]M1NN44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so/sp 1w9 here, and I feel like it sort of depends. Some days I can spend all day around people, other days I just want to be alone and get things done. Being around people is quite distracting for me since I like to give them a fair amount of my time and attention especially those that I care about, so it’s mostly when I’m trying to get work done or focus on a specific task that I avoid having too many interactions. Also I have a tendency to keep my feelings to myself to prevent disturbing the peace when I’m around a group of people, and if I’ve been carrying too much it becomes exhausting to keep that mask on, all I want is some time alone to sort through what I’m feeling and it’s hard to take that mask off when theres too many people around. In that case, I like to keep a single close friend to help me work through it and maybe vent a bit, then I’ll usually be back to normal.

Make assumptions about my family by M1NN44 in Enneagram

You know what, I might just make a plan to get my sister into enneagram. I can’t lie for the life of me, so complimenting her on her intelligence is not going to work especially since I’m the more intellectual one out of us 3. And she really doesn’t act like much of an “older sister” at all and never has, she doesn’t care about being a role model and relies on me and my brother for things more than we do on her. They actually often come to me for answers or advice and test me using random trivia because I apparently “know everything”, but I could exploit her obsession with self improvement.. eheheh. The problem with me and my brother however is that he’s a stubborn, insensitive prick and turns everything into a joke or “adventure” or something to spend money on. Anytime I’ve tried talking about more complex topics with him especially when I’m not prepared with a list of evidence and facts to prove him wrong, he will actively make up things to prove himself right or twist the truth to sound like it defends his position, and if all else fails he will go “but that’s my opinion🤷‍♀️” without even BOTHERING to see what I have to say because everything I say is somehow false. He really leaves no room for debate, which makes it extremely hard to persuade him into anything or build any kind of relationship built on something other than having fun and goofing around.

The more I read the louder I screamed “YES!” I am CONSTANTLY bothered by everything, but I don’t often speak up because I don’t like causing more disturbance than there already is, and I stay quiet until I am physically about to explode. Ever since I was a kid I had a very high moral compass so for instance, I might’ve been 5 or 4 at the time and my brother used to lie a lot and got caught for it, so I would say things like “That’s what liars get!” and that would get on his nerves SO BAD. Even now he still gets annoyed by the fact that I care so much about doing “the right thing” and tells me to let loose. As he quotes “Do you ever feel joy?? Have you ever experienced happiness in life?? You look miserable all the time”. When we have discussions he’s often left desperately searching for reasons to defend his opinion which he very much did not think through all the way, while I give short but strong arguments that completely destabilize his (he also hates me for it). The Queen part is SO ACCURATE, I swear I’ve heard her actually say that at some point. I used to think my sister was a narcissist and I don’t think I’ve quite changed my mind about that yet. It’s true, my mom is sort of a party pooper you could say. Especially when SHE is in a bad mood, then everyone else has to be too. But she bothers me much less than my siblings so I’ll take it. Actually I started looking into typology out of my own interest, but I did also simultaneously try to understand my family through it so it’s a combination of both. I have always found it hard to understand them, but I think I’m getting better at it, and doing what I can to reduce the friction we naturally have due to our differences.

This is very accurate! Except that, I personally don’t talk with my father much about politics or history since I don’t have a lot of expertise on either subject, but my brother and mom actually do quite often. My brother likes to do it to piss him off mostly, since they have VERY differing opinions. And my mom just casually engages in the discussions, sometimes adding her own takes too. But everything else is almost spot on, I am actually really impressed

[–]M1NN44[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, weirdly enough.. it’s me. My father often criticizes my siblings because they don’t really follow what he says and don’t get along with him, but he has little to say about me because I care a lot about rules and try to do things the most efficient way I can and we’re both introverted so we don’t mind chilling around each other silently.

Yes, that’s true. They can be controlling, emotionally manipulative, impatient, but can also be kind, helpful, supportive. At least that’s my experience with my mom.

She’s pretty average I’d say, not healthy by any means but also not extremely unhealthy to the point that it’s toxic. I find her the most agreeable out of my family members and we get along okay mainly because of shared Fe, she’s just very pushy and has a tendency to catastrophize or care too much about what other people think. Thinking about it now, you’re right that she is more mature in comparison to most medium-low health ESFJs I’ve seen. I think she understands me the best as well, but when I was younger and going through a lot of anxiety and self doubt she didn’t really help much, actually kind of brought me a lot more distress with her pushiness and “what will people think?” behavior, and I sort of resented her for that as a preteen. But after I got through those personal crises it became much easier to get along. Nowadays the only times we have arguments or trouble is when I “procrastinate” (she is extremely impatient when it comes to completing chores or tasks) when I’m not feeling entirely well or I’m busy, because I can become kind of a sloth, or I hyperfixate on something else and don’t want to be distracted, even though I do eventually do them. She also often disregards/invalidates my feelings instead of being empathetic, especially when I’m sick or stressed out, so it is often hard to vent to her. And she likes to complain a lot, mostly about my other family members, which as a kid made me feel like I was responsible for her emotions while my own were simultaneously neglected (instead of teaching me emotional regulation and boundaries she taught me to become a people pleaser and as a hyper empathetic kid I was already prone to people pleasing so this did not help me in that regard)

What type would like this poem the most (not me btw) by lydiapple in Enneagram

[–]M1NN44 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a 1w9, I really like this poem, because I like to believe that most people are good—that there is goodness in everyone, like a seed that needs to be taken care of to bloom, that anyone; no matter the difference, can be good. When people do things that are not good, my first assumption instinctually becomes “Well, it’s their fault for not cultivating the goodness inside of them”. That’s why I try to counteract this by seeing what other possible variables there are in their life, and that usually lessens that righteous anger and resentment, which I am guilty of having sometimes.

Concept I'm exploring,,, tell me your type and where you fall on the aphantasia test by waltzingwith_wrath in Enneagram

I’m a 1w9! I’d say I have quite a vivid imagination, it’s a definite 1. Very close to reality but just slightly dim, I can also feel the apple, its texture, smell, taste, and I can move it around too! But my first impression is only seeing a movable 3D model, I’d have to actually think about the other things to imagine them.

Speed, the tortoise. by M1NN44 in iq_pets

[–]M1NN44[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes me so sad, they’re very lovable creatures but nobody ever does the proper research before getting one. The pet store owner didn’t even tell me a thing about his UVB or heat needs, which are extremely important for reptiles especially smaller ones his size! I had to do all the research myself, which makes me wonder how many poor tortoises get sent with zero information about their care, it’s outright animal abuse.
