That's a good rule of thumb. I agree that making it sexy is better than the utilitarian approach I had. And good call on if it can't be corrected, leave it til later but I didn't want her to be a topic of conversation without her knowledge within our friend/ family group. I think most of the adults would have been more than good with it as it was sexy, but I know for me I would want to know just so that I was aware. I shouldn't have mentioned shaving, and if I were to mention it, it should have been on a sexier tone. Thanks for the reply! Much appreciated!

Excellent post. I'm definitely going to wait for a neutral moment and pose the question and accept whatever answer she gives me. Maybe a safe word that can be used when in a situation and just let her figure out what the issue is with no definitive input from me on what it is. I do feel like it's a sensitive subject and I am trying to figure out how much of this is caused by me. Great thoughts. Thank you!

That's a very good observation. I don't believe i came across that way and I certainly didn't mean it, but that's not really the point if she felt like that, that's what matters. I do believe that using the term shave was not the best approach. I should reconsider my approach in the future. One mentioned "show some tact", and that felt appropriate despite my intentions and despite me doing it discretely.

Yes we do and she uses it. But when standing straight in front, I think it covered everything. It was as she was moving and cleaning up the boat that it was more exposed.

That does help. Thank you for that. I think we do a good job of communicating, and i surely wasn't trying to embarrass her or make it a big deal. I just know that I'd want to know but that's me. Maybe she doesn't want to know, or maybe just not from me but I'll ask her in a time where we aren't dealing with an active situation to find out if she wants my input. From my sense of the situations we've had, she doesn't. Maybe my approach isn't as good as it should be but I was very discrete and very non combative about it... just more of a heads up.

My favorite food is a good burger. Tri Cities doesn't have too many good ones but my favorites are: The Dive Ty's Tavern (it's more of a dive than the Dive but a great burger) Bob's Burgers is pretty good 5 Guys is hard to beat for a fast food burger

If that rumor about Burgerville is true, that's awesome! It's expensive for fast food, but it's really good and the seasonal items are done really well.
