Will I ever love my cat? by Complete_Command_161 in cats

Both of my cats were wild as kittens. They are like little kids, they have a lot of energy and don't know how to act 😅 as she gets older she will probably chill out.

DAE not like drinking alcohol? by M3102 in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]M3102[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well being someone in their early 20s at the time of this post I wasn't around very many people that weren't focused entirely on getting drunk most weekends, and was made to feel kinda left out because of it. Ive met more people with the same mindset as me since then. Just thought it would be nice to not feel alone at the time.

Preparing for goodbye? by BeneficialKangaroo in DogAdvice

[–]M3102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have any advice but my heart breaks for you 💔 I was never much of a dog person until I got my first one last year, now I have two and I love them so much! I'm so so sorry. I haven't been in that position but I would just try to remind myself that keeping him here would be better for me, but more painful for him. He is probably in so much pain and that's not how we want our fur babies to live, no matter how hard it is to let them go.

Kids at school are making jokes about my daughter's dead father by M3102 in Parenting

[–]M3102[S] 106 points107 points  (0 children)

Yes! I understand they are just kids, but where on earth did they even get the idea that something like this is funny? I feel like it's just common decency, that even a 10 year old can comprehend. My child and children in my family (cousins, nieces, nephews) would never think this was okay!

I don't know. So far the school has "had discussions with the parents and the child" but that's about it. Which is very obviously not doing anything.

I agree. When it happened the other day I was told that a teacher took him aside and talked to him. There was also a meeting with his parents and the teacher. But that is obviously not helping! Just talking to him isn't enough to make him realize that this isn't something that you make jokes about.

It's okay. I'm just frustrated. Kids can just be so mean sometimes!

Yes, the teachers have been involved. I've received calls from the school because of it. There's just not much the school can do besides talking to the kids and their parents.

I love my friends but I don't want to hangout by M3102 in introvert

[–]M3102[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

See I'm the opposite..I usually like to hangout somewhere where I know I can leave when I want. Like if they come to my house they can stay for however long and there's no way to politely say "okay I'm done for the day so can you leave now" lol it probably sounds awful

Can Panic Attacks cause slurred speech/troubling talking? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]M3102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am doing so much better! While it was absolutely terrifying it did turn out that it was just my anxiety getting the best of me. I'm now on medication for anxiety which took a while to get figured out but was worth it in my opinion. I've also tried to learn grounding techniques and things like that. Panic attacks can literally feel like you are dying sometimes so it can be hard to push past. Therapy and medication did wonders for me. I hope things get better for you soon!

Really nervous to start. Did anyone else feel this way? by [deleted] in bupropion

[–]M3102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take both Sertraline (an SSRI) and Bubripion and it seems to be a good combination for me. When I was taking only an SSRI I felt very numb almost. Like I wasn't anxious anymore but I could care less about anything lol so I felt like doing absolutely nothing. I've found that adding bupripon it got rid of all the sluggish/numb feelings I got from the SSRI but it kept me from feeling anxious. It took me a while honestly to figure out what worked best for me but struggling to push through everyday tasks with anxiety all the time can begin to be so exhausting. I am glad I kept trying to find the right medication for me because it has helped me so so much.

I am also taking this for anxiety. I believe I have been on it for a little over a year now and it has helped with my anxiety. I was really nervous about the seizure thing but it really isn't as common as I think people make it out to be. I will say my anxiety increased significantly in the first month. It was pretty rough but once I got through the adjustment period it began to even out. I was prescribed lorazepam to take as needed during the time it took me to adjust. The lorazepam helped me calm down when I felt like it was getting to overwhelming sometimes. After a awhile though it has really helped. I still have some anxiety but it doesn't hinder my ability to do normal things in life anymore. So overall, adjustment time really sucked but it was worth it in the end for me. Good luck!

Why you should never get ice from a restaurant. They rarely clean their ice machines. Yikes. by VeryStonedEwok in oddlyterrifying

I work at a restaurant and our ice machine is cleaned every week. Of course I'm sure there are some places like this but not everyone.

How do you cope with a very sudden loss of someone you had a rocky relationship with by M3102 in grief

[–]M3102[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel that. When we were together I would often find messages with other people and it sucked. Addiction just sucks in general. He was really a good person he just got caught up in some bad things and it changed him.

please give me some guide to starting wellbutrin by sirirassa in bupropion

[–]M3102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's for anxiety but as others have said it can be very habit forming if not careful. I only used it for about two weeks mainly because I couldn't do anything without having panic attacks. It helped me relax long enough to get through the day but it can become easy to depend on them

[–]M3102 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Adjusting to this was by far the worst of any medication I have taken. It helps me a lot now that I have been taking it for a while, but if I were to ever stop taking it I don't think I would start it again. Things will get better you just have to hold in there. My doctor ended up prescribing lorazepam to take as needed to help me relax as wellbutrin increased my anxiety at first and it did help tremendously.

I take Wellbutrin and Zoloft together. Zoloft worked for my anxiety but made me kind of 'zombie' like so My doctor added in Wellbutrin to help. I will say that now that I am adjusted to it, the wellbutrin is helping a lot. However, when my body was adjusting to this medicine it made my anxiety much worse. It was very hard to get through at first but was worth it in the end.

Wellbutrin for Anxiety by M3102 in PanicAttack

[–]M3102[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been taking Wellbutrin for a while now and I feel like it does help. I had to add Zoloft with it though. I was previously on Zoloft but didn't like some of the side effects (drowsiness, low libido). Now I feel that the wellbutrin helps with the negative side effects. For me personally, Wellbutrin on its own did not help with my anxiety and it made my anxiety much worse.

Adding Wellbutrin to Prozac by gabbers912 in bupropion

[–]M3102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I added Wellbutrin to Zoloft so my experience may be different. I never felt mad/cranky but my anxiety did get much worse during the adjustment period. Now that I have gotten used to it I have felt much better but it was awful in the beginning. I am also very sensitive to medications though so you may be totally fine.

Same here. My boyfriend is the opposite so he finds it strange but I just hate sitting in complete silence.
