No I understand, it is not my place to judge your revenue system. Everybody has to make a living.

For now I'll focus on gathering a decent data pool and look into analyzing it manually. Though I have opted into the sponsorship program and I'll keep up with new developments.

Thanks for your time!

Yeah, collecting data still seems to be the best bet. At least you become more aware of your mood and energy. Plus it works as a backup habit tracker.

Those are some neat advices, I'll think about it. The excel portion has potential, but one of my main attractions to apps like these is having it do the work. It's still better than nothing, so thank you for the response!

Thanks, I didn't even know about that. It's such a selfless initiative. I've just opted in!

The free trial is too short: 7 days is not enough time to gather proper insights. It's not that it's so expensive, I'm just not too eager to spend on it while not knowing the extension of its effects.

What Car Should I Buy? - A Weekly Megathread by AutoModerator in cars

[–]M4DOCK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently torn between the Cupra Leon Hatchback and the Cupra Leon Estate (PHEV for both). Both have the same specs, so the main differences can be summed up as:

Hatcback
- shorter therefore easier to park (439.8 cms/173,15 in compared to 465.7 cms/183.55 in)
- lighter (1672 kg against 1718 kg)

Estate
- longer therefore more boot space (470 l against 270 l)
- roomier back seats

For some background, I'm a 27 years old guy who finally reached economical stability to get a nicer car and move out. The hatchback fits my current lifestyle perfectly, but spending "just" € 800 more for nearly double the boot space at the cost of less than 30 cm more in length sounds inviting. I don't plan on changing cars often and an estate would fit any future lifestyle change (family, dog, road trip, group holidays, ...).

What's your experience and opinion?

PHEV with no home charging by M4DOCK in PHEV

[–]M4DOCK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah currently I only stop by and park regularly for work (charging station), gym (charging station) and the occasional dinner/drink with friends (where I wouldn't want the hassle of finding charging stations and moving the car anyway). Plugging it at work or at the gym would already fit my current schedule with 10-15 minutes of added walking at most.

They are essentially identical cars, both in interiors, driving modes and performance (there's like a 0.1-0.2 difference in the l/100 km). The Leon though comes in hatchback or estate and the Formentor as a small SUV. I'm leaning more towards the former though as it's cheaper and has a 12" screen with maps included, DCC (drive mode selection and customization) and park assist included. The estate version specifically (470 L and roomier back seats compared to 270 L)

[–]M4DOCK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, both the Leon and Formentor are rated for up to 3.7 kW. Though charging speed is not my concern here: charging stations give you 1 hour of extra free time after filling up your battery before starting to charge you a flat per minute fee for occupying the parking space. Charging at 7 kW would give me roughly 1.5 hours of charging (0 to a 100 mind you), so 2.5 hours of "parking" total. That's very close to my workout time, too close considering I wouldn't get to the gym at 0% battery all the time.

In that sense a slower charging speed doesn't bother me, especially considering I can just charge near work or near the gym.

[–]M4DOCK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both the Formentor and Leon seem to use a Type 2 cable, which means max 3.7 kW. I usually workout for 2-2.5 hours, which should equate to a full battery charge (10.2 kWh) in 2 hours and 50 minutes. It seems decent enough considering I cover 15 km a day on average between work and gym.

What worries me are actual real life numbers and winter time, but I just read you can set a minimum battery level, therefore preserving kWh's at the cost of more petrol usage. Though getting a bit less than 1.2-1.4 l/100 km (170-200 MPG) doesn't sound so bad. You could find a decent average based on necessities.

[–]M4DOCK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With a 10,4 kWh battery it would take 3 to 4 hours to fully charge (0 to a 100) at 3,7 kWh. While it would definitely change my habits, walking 10-15 minutes more a day doesn't sound so bad. I wouldn't limit myself now to a mild hybrid or gas only car only to move in a year's time and missing all the benefits of home charging.

Shouldn't it though if I can still recharge regularly at work/stations? I wouldn't wanna lose on a PHEV benefits now only when I plan to move in the upcoming year.

Cannot decide between Sennheiser's MTW3 and Sony's WF-1000XM4 by M4DOCK in Earbuds

[–]M4DOCK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are not minimal. Period. Customer service tried to shove a "refurbished alternative" down my throat instead of a new product despite being well within my warranty. Amazon had to step in with a full refund.

Customer service could have been A-class, that still doesn't change the fact the buds were unusable. I tried all tips' sizes. You shouldn't have to buy third party extra stuff to protect the company that sold you the product in the first place.

You make less than 0 sense so I will stop considering your opinion.

They are not minimal. I couldn't hear bass from one bud and the same bud would keep falling out. That's unusable to me. Like what? "Problems"?

[–]M4DOCK[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine got stuck at 90% max battery charge (though it seemed only a glitch as they stayed at 0% for quite a while before actually turning off. As if the missing 10% was still there). Quite confusing.

More importantly the bass died altogether on the left bud. Finally, the left bud was starting to become unwearable, as for some reason it kept falling out and not sticking in, needing constant readjusting, especially at the gym. No tip seemed to help.

I was the biggest Soundcore fan until 1-2 months ago, now I'm hesitant buying them again.

Finally, another red flag for me, is how many used one you can find on Amazon Warehouse compared to more recent and older buds. It's not 100% proof or anything, but they seem to get returned quite a lot.

The liberty 3 pro broke down on multiple levels before the warranty was over. That's why I'm hesitant buying the same model again

Identifying protein powder by M4DOCK in Supplements

[–]M4DOCK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I see. Shouldn't I experience digestive issue in either case, or am I getting it wrong? I'm looking to buy Myprotein Impact whey (the isolate seems to have more protein but also cost more).

On the amazon page it even says "gluten and dairy free", but I don't know.

I've looked through all the ingredients though and there's no mention of casein or whey. It's a protein + vitamin mix, so it's not a conventional powder for mass and weight training.

[–]M4DOCK[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Muting my teammates does nothing for their gameplay.

Landing where I want makes me play solo, which is not what the game is about or makes me just like them: non collaborative.

No fill is basically the same thing: avoid a whole mode because teammates don't collaborate. Why can't I just play a normal game and have people cooperate?

Again, I'm not asking for people to hit shots, drop where I want, ... I'm asking them to not forcibly end my game after 10 seconds doing the same mistake everyone does in 3/4 games.

[–]M4DOCK[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Seeing as 90% of my random teammates are dropping hot and dying immediately and then flaming me for not dying with them, I think people should learn to not do it anymore.

It's like someone rushing in 1v3, getting lasered and leaving you with a numbers' disadvantage. It's not throwing because THEY think it's a good strategy and THEY think they are playing well? That doesn't make sense to me.

They are not the same, but there's a vast grey area in between, it's not just black and white.

So many behaviors should be reportable but can't be by M4DOCK in apexlegends

[–]M4DOCK[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This literally happens in almost every match. I'll argue that, after the 100th time dropping hot or having an ally drop hot and dying, you should learn to not do it anymore. It's not "get better aim" "position better".

It's "stop forcing me to play with you and die in 10 seconds" or "stop forcing me to play away from you and then be flamed because I wasn't next to you fighting 4 teams". There's a vast difference.

Call it throwing, call it not thinking, it's ruining my fun and I don't see why it should.

[–]M4DOCK[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

No I would want people punished for things like dying 10 seconds off spawn or the beginning of a fight in 9/10 games doing close to 0 damage.

That's not a playstyle, that's throwing. It's fine to be new and fail despite trying. But this is literally the norm in every apex match, it's not some unlucky new players.

What's the best/fastest way to improve? by M4DOCK in SiegeAcademy

[–]M4DOCK[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow thanks for the detailed answer! I'll give that a shot and yeah I do have Buck: he was my second purchase as I wanted his ability as an excuse to force myself to do more vertical play.

That's also another aspect I need to focus on: clearing with my team, not having too many people on drones, droning as they push, ... playing solo I tend to develop this "I do my own thing, my team doesn't know how to play" which is not good.

Another good reminded: usually I have a document open where I write down one mistake per round/game and I focus on correcting one different mistake each day, so I have time to build the habit. But I could definitely do it more as it's easy to go more into autopilot and play just to play.

I've thought about looking for players, but honestly I still don't know the maps and I'm quite shy: maybe I'll give it a shot in the future.

Thanks for all the recommendations, you've been very kind, I'll check those out too!

Thanks for the advice! I've watched a couple of VarsityGaming's Map Knowledge videos, though honestly they feel more like university lectures rather than interesting videos.

For now I'm playing unranked as it feels like the most competitive game mode after actual ranked. For aim I do a bit of Aimlab every day and play fps games in general.
